The following aftersales promotion (hereinafter the "Promotion") is offered by Xiaomi Technology UK Limited, with registered office at 100 Brook Drive, Green Park, Reading RG2 6UJ, the United Kingdom, registration number 11447538. (hereinafter the "Promoter" and/or “Xiaomi”).
Users with a Xiaomi smartphone (only applicable to smartphones from Xiaomi Series and Redmi Series) (hereinafter the "Product(s)") purchased in any official Xiaomi sales channel (online or offline) within EU are eligible to participate in this Promotion (hereinafter “Beneficiaries”) in United Kingdom at conditions described below, under point 3.
The Promotion will take place between 00:00 hours Wednesday 6st April 2022 and 23:59 hours Friday 15th April 2022.
(hereinafter, the “Promotion Period”)
Beneficiaries will be eligible to participate in this Promotion:
a. when going directly to the Xiaomi’s Service Center listed below under point 4 during the Promotion Period;
or;
b. when applying for the Product’s out of warranty repair via mi.com Customer Service contact as indicated below under point 4 during the Promotion Period.
For the performance of the out of warranty repair (hereinafter “Repair”), the Beneficiaries will benefit from a 50% discount on the labor fees (spare parts costs and/or logistics costs excluded as better specified under 3 (i) and 3 (ii) below). Only for out of warranty Products.
During the Promotion Period, Beneficiaries can apply for the Promotion by two (2) ways:
i. Take the Product to the front-end Xiaomi Service Center for on-site repair
Beneficiaries can directly take the Product to one of the Xiaomi Service Centers listed below under point 4 "Xiaomi Service Centers" for the Repair.
The Service Center will verify the existence of all conditions for the application of this Promotion, and, if the conditions are met: i.e. user is a Beneficiary of the Promotion and the Product is eligible (legal warranty period expires or physical damage on the Product); the authorized Service Center will perform an inspection and provide Beneficiary with a detailed offer that will include 50% discount on the labor fee cost (spare parts costs excluded). Beneficiaries can then decide whether to accept the offer and have the Product repaired, or not. In the latter case, the Product will be returned and the inspection costs will be borne by the Beneficiaries.
ii. Contact Customer Service via local mi.com/uk for mail-in repair
Beneficiaries can contact Xiaomi’s Customer Service during the Promotion Period through the contact information as listed below at point 4 and apply for the Promotion.
The Customer Service will ask Beneficiaries to provide invoice of the purchase or delivery bill and IMEI number of the Product, in order to check if the conditions of the Promotion shall apply and arrange mail-in repair.
After the device is arrived at the mail-in repair center, an inspection of the Product will be performed and a detailed offer that will include 50% discount on the labor fee cost (spare parts costs and logistics costs excluded) will be provided to Beneficiaries. Beneficiaries can then decide whether to accept the offer and have the Product repaired, or not.
In the latter case, the Product will be returned, the inspection costs and logistics fee will be borne by the Beneficiaries.
This Promotion does not apply to or cover the following situations:
a. Xiaomi Products not purchased within UK official sales channels (online or offline);
b. The serial number and/or IMEI number is damaged or has been removed or tampered with;
c. The product is a counterfeit and was not manufactured by Xiaomi.
There is no limit on the number of out of warranty repairs for the same Product within the Promotion Period.
Beneficiaries shall be responsible for the backup of any data, software or other information that is stored or kept on the Product.
