1. Are Xiaomi devices purchased from mobile operators original?

Yes. All Xiaomi devices sold by authorized mobile operators are 100% genuine and officially distributed for the Malaysian market.

2. Is the warranty provided by Xiaomi?

Yes. Xiaomi devices purchased through authorized operators come with the official Xiaomi Malaysia warranty, subject to Xiaomi's warranty terms and conditions.

3. Will I receive Xiaomi (MIDC) software updates?

Yes. You will continue to receive HyperOS updates, Android security patches, bug fixes and performance improvements. Updates are released according to Xiaomi's rollout schedule.

4. Will VoLTE, VoWiFi and 5G work?

Supported features depend on your device model, operator, subscription plan, network coverage and MCMC regulations.

5. Can I remove pre-installed Telecom Client applications?

The Telecoms Client app is automatically pre-installed on devices that are still under contract with operators. The app cannot be removed until the device contract has ended.

6. Can I factory reset the device?

Yes. A factory reset removes personal data and installed applications but does not remove official Xiaomi (MIDC) software or operator configurations.

7. Can I flash with Global (MIXM) ROM?

This is not recommended. Unofficial firmware may cause instability, disable OTA updates, affect network compatibility and void warranty.

8. Can I use eSIM on operators contract phone?

eSIM availability depends on the Xiaom/Redmi model, operator support and market availability.

9. What is the purpose of the Telecoms Client app?

It is a security application for contract devices that helps operators protect devices in cases of loss or theft, including remote device locking where supported.

10. Why are certain device functions restricted during the contract period?

Restrictions protect subsidized devices. These restrictions are removed when the contract ends.
