Why do old photos appear faded in the Xiaomi 15T Pro photo album?

Thank you for your support of Xiaomi. The Xiaomi 15T Pro uses a wide color gamut and color management system to provide more vivid and accurate color reproduction. Older photos taken on devices that do not support end-to-end color management appear faded or visually different when viewed on the Xiaomi 15T Pro. This behavior is normal and results from the difference in color management between older and newer images. It does not affect the content or quality of the original photos.
New photos captured using official Xiaomi cameras are displayed accurately with the correct color tones and vibrancy.
For better display quality of the previous photos, please adjust the following settings:
  1. Go to [Settings] >> [Display & brightness] >> [Color scheme] >> select [Vivid].
  2. Go to [Settings] >> [Display & brightness] >> [Color scheme] >> [Advanced Mode] and customize the color palette to enhance the display of historical photos.
These adjustments help maintain consistent image quality, enhance color fidelity, and provide a visually pleasing experience for all photos.
