Several factors will make the initialization of the Xiaomi WiFi Range Extender N300 fail, such as the usage of third-party routers, outdated firmware version, and router settings.
When you add smart devices to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP, the device cannot be discovered or the APP shows the failure of connection.
If the initialization fails when you are using third-party router to connect, please refer to the following details:
1. Try to put the phone close to the Wi-Fi range extender;
2. Turn off the router wireless access control (black and white list) and restart the router to try;
3. If there are no Xiaomi routers, try to connect to the mobile phone hotspot. If the connection is successful, contact the router after-sales service to modify the channel and encryption method;
4. If the connection to the mobile phone hotspot fails, please apply to the after-sales service.
