Why is the screen of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 black and not responding?

In the normal conditions of using the Xiaomi Smart Band 8, the screen will respond and not be black. If the the band is out of battery or the band is powered off, the screen will be black and not respond. Besides, hardware failure will also cause the band screen issues.
If the screen of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is black, please refer to the following steps:
1. Please use the standard charger to charge the band for more than 30 minutes continuously, and observe whether the screen briefly lights up. When the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 can be charged normally, the screen will automatically light up;
2. Please clean the charging contacts and gently wipe the back of the band, the charging contacts on the charging dock, and the edge of the screen with an alcohol swab.
If the screen lights up after the band is charged, but there is still a problem of touch screen failure, please refer to the following steps:
1. Forget the band in the Bluetooth settings of the phone and unbind it through the Mi Fitness APP;
2. Restart the Bluetooth function of the phone and re-pair the band;
3. Upgrade your phone and Mi Fitness APP to the latest version and try again;
4. If the issue still occurs, change another phone and rebind it.
If the issue still persists after the above troubleshooting steps, it will be caused by the device hardware failure. Please take your band along with invoice to the local official after-sales center for further inspection.
