Chromebooks are designed by Google to help make everything easier from instant setup to your go-to Google apps seamlessly integrated to help you get things done. It can sync chat notifications and photos. It can send and receive text messages on your phone. It also can connect your Chromebook to your phone network and unlock your Chromebook with your phone. Chromebooks help you do less and accomplish more.
When you set up your Chromebook for the first time, you can connect your Xiaomi smartphone by following instructions:
1. When prompted on your Chromebook select [Accept & continue]. To skip this step, select [No thanks]. You can opt in any time with these steps;
2. Select [Get started];
3. You'll get a confirmation on your phone that Smart Lock is turned on.
Note:
1. If there are issues with your internet connection, there can be a delay when you verify your connected device. We'll continue to attempt verification, but these features won't be available until you're online;
2. What you need to use Chromebook:
(1). On both your Android phone and your Chromebook, sign in to your Google Account;
(2). ChromeOS version 71 and up;
(3). Android version 6 and up.
If you use your Chromebook at work or school, you can not be able to use these features with your phone. For more help, contact your administrator.
