What to do if the time and battery status in the status bar are not updating?
This issue occurs because your phone has Demo mode enabled. When Demo mode is on, the status bar only displays fixed icons for time, Wi-Fi, signal, and battery, and these icons will not change, even if the phone’s actual status changes. It is used by retailers to showcase the phone’s interface without the distractions of actual notifications or changes in status.
To disable the Demo mode, please refer to the following steps:
1. Open [Settings];
2. Go to [Additional settings];
3. Tap [Developer options];
4. Turn off [Demo mode].
If the problem persists, please submit feedback via your mobile phone.
Note:
If you find that the Demo mode is automatically turned on after upgrading the phone system, you can turn it off manually.
