The Xiaomi smartphone and Xiaomi Pad crash, freeze and restart repeatedly

Scenario 1
Automatic shutdown during use, and the device does not automatically restart unless the power button is pressed.
1. The device shuts down automatically during use but can be powered on and enter the system:
(1). If the device is used in a low-temperature environment, the battery protection mechanism will be triggered, causing the device to shut down automatically. It is recommended to use the device in a suitable temperature condition;
(2). It is recommended to update the device to the latest version of the system, as some system bugs can cause abnormal shutdowns.
2. The device automatically shuts down and cannot power on/enter the system
(1). If the device is used in a low-temperature environment, the battery protection mechanism will be triggered, causing the device to shut down automatically and preventing it from powering on. It is recommended to charge the device in a suitable temperature condition before use. If the device exhibits abnormal heating during charging, stop charging immediately and take the device to a nearby after-sale service center for inspection;
(2). Such issues are often accompanied by abnormal power loss. If you experience unusual heating during charging, please report it promptly;
(3). Press and hold the power buttons and volume up button to enter the recovery mode. Select Safe Mode, and press the power button to enter.
If the system can be accessed, the issue could be due to software faults or compatibility problems. You can try submitting feedback in the Help and Feedback and wait for a fix in a future system update.
Additionally, battery aging, button faults, or internal component issues can also cause the device to shut down unexpectedly. It is recommended to take the device to a nearby after-sale service center for further inspection and resolution.
Scenario 2
Device abnormally restarts
1. The device automatically restarts during use
Some third-party APPs have compatibility issues. If the device restarts only when using specific software or if the issue can be reproduced through certain actions, it is recommended to submit logs and feedback through the Help and Feedback.
2. The device automatically restarts when not in use
(1). If the device is placed in a pocket or another environment where the power button can be accidentally pressed, it will cause the device to restart. Observe whether the device restarts when placed in normal;
(2). If the device has [Update automatically] enabled under [Settings] >> [About phone] >> MIUI icon area >> the three-dot icon at the upper right corner >> [Update Settings], the device will automatically upgrade through smart algorithms, and it will restart to complete the update;
(3). If the restart issue can be consistently reproduced through specific actions, it is recommended to submit logs and feedback through Help and Feedback.
Additionally, battery faults, button malfunctions, or internal component issues can also cause the device to restart unexpectedly. It is recommended to take the device to a nearby after-sale service center for further inspection and resolution.
3. The device is stuck on the restart screen, and is unable to enter the system in normal
(1). It is recommended to wait for a while. This issue can occur because the phone needs to process a large amount of data after a system update. If your phone has many installed APPs, it will take more time to process the data after the update. It could take anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes;
(2). System updates have started without you noticing;
(3). During the waiting period, it is advisable to connect the original charger and monitor the phone's status. If the phone becomes excessively hot or is unable to enter the system for an extended period, unplug the charger and visit the after-sale service center for inspection and repair;
(4). If the issue of continuous rebooting is not related to a system update, you can try pressing and holding the power button and volume up button to enter recovery mode. Select Safe Mode to see if it can boot up in normal. If Safe Mode allows the phone to start, try restarting the device while in Safe Mode by Pressing and holding the power button.
Scenario 3
The device freezes suddenly during use, and the screen still displays. However, you cannot operate the device.
1. Freezing during use is caused by software issues. It is recommended to restart the phone and submit logs and feedback through Help and Feedback, then wait for future version updates;
2. If the issue persists after multiple system updates, it is advised to visit a nearby after-sale service center for further inspection and resolution.
Note:
If the issue occurred only once and has not reappeared, or if the problem has been resolved, it is recommended to quickly find Help and Feedback in the system tools folder on your home screen. Select the corresponding issue and submit feedback. The feedback will include logs to help our development team continuously improve the system.
The feedback is only for submission and does not have a chat feature. Responses to submitted feedback will not be visible in Help and Feedback.
