The reasons and solutions for Bluetooth connectivity issues on the Xiaomi smartphone

Bluetooth includes many different protocols, and the version and protocols supported by Bluetooth are the decisive factors for its functionality. For example, some Bluetooth headphones only support phone calls and do not support music playback, which could be due to a lack of support for certain Bluetooth protocols.
Scenario 1
If you are unable to find Bluetooth devices, please refer to the following steps:
1. Compare with other devices. If other devices can find the target Bluetooth device but your current device cannot, please submit feedback through Feedback;
2. Ensure that the target Bluetooth device is in discoverable mode, and wait for a longer period.
Scenario 2
You can search for Bluetooth devices but cannot connect.
1. Bluetooth Game Controllers, Mice, Keyboards, etc. cannot connect to the phone
(1). Devices like Bluetooth mice, keyboards, and game controllers require Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) protocol to connect. Only some Xiaomi products support devices with Bluetooth HID protocol;
(2). Some Bluetooth game controllers have specific hardware and system requirements. Certain game controllers can not support mobile devices or older versions of Android. It is recommended that you check the specifications of your Bluetooth game controllers or other devices to ensure compatibility.
2. Bluetooth Earphones/Car Bluetooth and other audio devices cannot connect to the phone
(1). Try connecting in a different environment. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other devices often operate at 2.4GHz, which will cause interference with Bluetooth connections. Switching to a different environment to try again;
(2). Try connecting the phone to other Bluetooth audio devices, or try connecting the audio device to another phone. This will help determine if the issue is with the phone or the Bluetooth audio device;
(3). If the Issue is not with the audio device. Try clearing the data on the phone and updating the system to the latest version. The connection issue can be caused by system or software-related problems.
3. Some Xiaomi Smart Bands and Xiaomi Watches cannot connect to the phone
(1). For smart Bluetooth bands and Bluetooth watches, follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the above solution 2 for general Bluetooth connection issues;
(2). Bluetooth bands, watches, and some other Bluetooth devices have specific requirements for the Android system version. For instance, Bluetooth devices supporting Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) should be paired with Android 4.3 or higher to ensure compatibility.
Note:
Common Bluetooth versions include Bluetooth 2.1, Bluetooth 3.0, and Bluetooth 4.0. All Bluetooth versions are backward compatible, meaning Bluetooth 2.1 devices can work with the phones of Bluetooth 4.0, and Bluetooth 4.0 devices can also work with the phones of Bluetooth 2.1.
