Does the phone use the microphone of the Xiaomi Buds 5 or the phone when recording videos or audio?

When recording videos or audio, different phones and applications have different settings, depending on the specific scenario.
When making calls or listening to music, the microphone of the earbuds is used. When recording videos or audio, the phone’s microphone is used.
Note:
Taking the iPhone iOS 17.5.1 version as an example, the earbuds’ microphone is used for recording audio, and the phone’s microphone is used for recording videos. Different brands of Android phones have different behaviors.
You can inspect it as follows:
After connecting the earbuds to the phone, open the Recorder APP. Wear the earbuds and start recording after walking a distance away from the phone (about 3~5 meters). After stopping the recording, check whether the recorded video or audio has sound. If there is no sound or the sound is small, it means that the recording is using a mobile phone’s microphone. If the sound is clear, it means that the recording is using an earbuds’ microphone.
