  1. Mi Digital Protect Plus – Terms & Conditions

  1. The Plan

The Mi Digital Protect Plus is a 1 year mobile digital protection plan for Xiaomi mobile handsets sold or serviced by Authorised Sales Channels/ Authorised Service Centres of Xiaomi in India. The plan entitles the user to use one year subscription of Safehouse app available on Play Store.

  1. Plan Term & Eligibility

Plan begins when the Customer purchase the Plan for his Mobile Phone (“Device”) and ends on completion of one year from the date of purchase of the Plan (“Plan Term”).

  1. Plan features

  1. The Plan is linked to the phone/email of the user and the user can change device anytime during the plan term. The plan can be activated on only one device at one time.

  2. Plan features are as below:

    1. Protect your device privacy, hide your IP address and secure your connection on public Wi-Fi with VPN.

    2. Connect to global VPN servers to access geo-restricted content.

    3. Block malicious content or unsafe sites with real-time online protection.

    4. Detect and block access to scam or malicious websites before they get opened.

    5. Check if your email address has been a part of a data breach in the past and if so, recommendations to mitigate the security risks.

    6. Rs 25,000 cyber insurance cover by HDFC ERGO for the unauthorised digital transactions via UPI or e-wallets

      1. Rs. 399 including GST need to be paid by customer to Xiaomi ASC directly.

      2. As it’s a digital product, once activated, the product cannot be returned.

      3. The plan will only on the device running on Android 11 or more.

  1. Cyber insurance cover details

  1. This plan only covers any digital theft of funds via e-wallets or UPI payment methods.

  2. The Insured should discover the loss / event during the policy period and intimate Insurance Company within 72 hrs of such discovery of loss / event.

  3. The user can visit HDFC self help portal https://selfhelp.hdfcergo.com/SelfHelp to initiate the claim process or the user can contact Secure Now Insurance broker at support@secuenow.in or call on: 09696683999 to get claim assistance.

  1. Exclusions in regards to cyber insurance cover

  • Policy will cover an individual only in their personal capacity. There is no cover for any entity (including proprietorships) nor any cover for loss arising from, related to or as a consequence of a business/official/commercial transaction.

  • No Policy trigger for any loss(es) arising directly or indirectly out of a vulnerability, data breach, unauthorised access or disruption to any Bank’s application, software, payment processing services etc

  • Platform breach is excluded.

  • Any Event or circumstances which were known to you prior to inception of this policy that could reasonably lead to an Insured Event under this Policy.

  • Third party claims made by Your family members, any person residing with you, made from your account or any joint account holder with You.

  • Gambling online and or otherwise.
