Xiaomi Smart Door Lock fingerprint recognition is unresponsive
If the fingerprint recognition on your door lock is unresponsive, please follow these troubleshooting steps: 1. Check if there is a firmware update available for your door lock, and update it to the latest version; 2. Verify if your fingerprint unlock gesture is the same as when you initially registered the fingerprint. Try using a different unlocking gesture; Note: It is recommended to use the gesture shown below when registering your fingerprint for more responsive unlocking. 3. In the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP, you can register the same finger twice for better accuracy; 4. Ensure that the fingerprint sensor or your finger is free from dust, sweat, or other debris; 5. For better results, slightly moisten your finger or apply more pressure when unlocking; 6. Fingerprints registered during summer can need to be re-registered in winter, and vice versa, to improve fingerprint recognition accuracy. If all the methods above can not resolve this issue, please contact the local after-sales service center for further assistance. If your fingerprint cannot be recognized, please follow these troubleshooting steps: 1. Touch the password area to check if the screen lights up. If it doesn't, please check the power supply of your door lock. If it does light up, try rebooting the device; 2. If you have just installed the lock, press and hold the reset button for more than 3 seconds until the reset is successful, then try again. If the lock is not newly installed, use USB power to see if it restores functionality; 3. Check whether the connection cables between the front and back panels are loose or damaged. Reconnect the cables, and if there is damage, replace them. If none of the above methods solve the problem, please replace the door lock. If you fail to add a fingerprint, please follow these troubleshooting steps: 1. Ensure that both the fingerprint sensor and your finger are clean, free of debris, and dry; 2. The time between presses should not exceed 10 seconds. After adding one fingerprint, proceed to add the next one promptly; 3. Make sure the fingerprint is not damaged, as this can affect the fingerprint addition and recognition process.
