Why doesn't the display of Mi Smart Kettle Pro light up?

In standby mode, if the water temperature is below 45°C and no operation is performed for more than 2 minutes, the display will automatically go off. Pressing the "Boil" or "Keep Warm" button will light up the display, but will not activate the function. Only after the screen is lit can you operate the boil or keep warm.
