Why is wind noise sometimes heard in the Xiaomi Buds 5 but disappears after a few seconds, with active noise cancellation becoming less effective?
The earbuds have a wind noise reduction algorithm. When continuous strong wind impacts the earbuds, they enter wind noise reduction mode after about 5 seconds. The wind noise disappears, however, the noise cancellation becomes less effective due to the earbuds adjusting the microphone algorithm to minimize wind noise. The impact of strong wind noise is more significant than the slight reduction in active noise cancellation effectiveness. We will continue to optimize the wind noise based on feedback.
