Why do continuous thumping sounds occur in the Xiaomi Buds 5 when driving with the car windows open?
It is due to fluctuations in wind noise caused by opening car windows or the rumbling noises from driving over uneven surfaces, which affect the noise cancellation system of the earbuds. We are working to resolve this issue through OTA updates to the earbuds’ software. Please stay updated with notifications from the Xiaomi Earbuds APP and update it promptly.

This issue occurs with most high-depth noise-cancellation earbuds. Some earbuds will reduce noise cancellation to mitigate severe electrical noises caused by high-speed driving. In the same environment, you will distinctly hear the rumbling of wheels on the ground inside the earbuds. To balance noise cancellation effectiveness and improve use experience, adjustments are continually made between noise cancellation and these types of noises.
