How to bind and unbind the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 on an Android phone?
Download and open the Mi Fitness APP, log in to your Xiaomi account and enable APP-related permissions according to the pop-up prompts.
To bind the Mi Fitness APP on the Android phone, please refer to the following methods:
1. Open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> tap [+] at the upper right corner >> [Add device]. To bind the phone and the band, place them close together and search for pairing. On the phone, select the device with the last four digits of the Bluetooth address matching the band's and then connect to the band. Once connected, a [√] icon will appear and tap on it to confirm the binding;
2. Open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> tap [+] at the upper right corner >> [Add device] >> [Add model] >> select the Xiaomi Smart Band 9. The Mi Fitness APP will automatically search for the nearest device and request to connect to the band. Once connected to the band, a [√] icon will appear and tap on it to confirm the binding;
3. Open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> tap [+] at the upper right corner >> [Scanner]. Connect and bind directly by scanning the QR code on the band;
4. When a new band that hasn't been paired comes close to the phone (only supported on some MIUI models), the MIUI system will pop up a window for device discovery. The phone will display a pop-up with the device model, the last four digits of the Bluetooth address and the device image. You can directly tap [Connect to this device] from the prompt.
To unbind the Mi Fitness APP on the Android phone, please refer to the following methods:
1. When the band is connected to the phone, open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Device] >> [Manage your devices] >> press and hold the [Xiaomi Smart Band 9] image for a while >> [Unpair]. After unpairing, the band will be reset to factory settings;
2. When the band is connected to the phone, open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Device] >> scroll to the bottom >> tap [Unpair] to unbind the band. After unpairing, the band will be reset to factory settings.
Note:
If you can't find the band during the device adding process or if you can't connect to the band during usage, try scrolling down on the band's binding page and select [Factory reset] in the system operation interface, then re-add and bind the device.
When the band is not bound, the screen will display [Download App to bind the band]. You need to bind it before using the band's functions.
