Here’s the principle of message notification for your reference. When the Mi Fitness App keeps Bluetooth connection with your watch, it will push the notifications generated by the status bar of your cell phone to your watch to remind you that your cell phone has generated new messages. When the notification message is not shown on the status bar of your phone, even if the App of your phone receives a new message, the phone will not push the message to your watch.
If you find that you are not receiving alerts, please follow the steps below to check:
1. Make sure that your phone has a good network connection, Bluetooth remains turned on, and is connected to your watch properly;
2. Make sure the notification message can be displayed in the notification bar of your phone;
3. Check if the message notification option is turned on in the App;
4. Check if the watch is in Do Not Disturb mode or Sleep mode. The watch will not vibrate to alert you when you receive a new message when you are in Do Not Disturb or Sleep mode;
5. If your phone is Android, it is recommended to turn on background running privileges to ensure that the App is running in the background.
