The Xiaomi 13T Pro lags or freezes after system update

It is normal if the Xiaomi 13T Pro freezes for a short period of time after a system update. In this case, please refer to the following methods:
1. Ensure that your smartphone's operating system is up-to-date. Software updates often include bug fixes, security patches and improvements that can address software level issues;
2. It is normal if the smartphone freezes for a short period of time after a system update. The phone system optimizes apps after the phone has just been updated. During this time, your phone may be overloaded and subsequently start to lag. It is recommended that you wait for 1 to 2 weeks until the system is fully optimized;
3. If the the smartphone still lags or freezes after 2 weeks, please submit user feedback by going to [Settings] >> [Services & feedback], and wait for the future updates.
If the smartphone lags or freezes without system update, perform the following methods:
1. If your phone is uploading or downloading files, pictures, videos, or apps, copying data (such as from Files), or transferring data (such as via Mi Share), it may take a while for your phone to respond. In this case, wait for the task to complete or stop the task;
2. Restart your phone, sometimes a simple restart can help clear temporary files and processes that may be causing the delay;
3. Close background apps that are not in use. You can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to enter the app's operational backend and choose to close unused apps;
4. Try to clear the cache data, which can accumulate over time and affect performance. Go to [Security] >> select [Cleaner]/[Deep Clean] to choose the cache data that needs to be deleted;
5. If the Battery saver mode or Ultra battery saver mode is enabled or the battery level is too low, your smartphone will restrict some features from working in order to extend the battery life. It is recommended that you disable Battery saver mode by going to [Settings] >> [Battery]. Also, keep the battery level above 20%;
6. Check whether your phone is overheating. The performance of the phone deteriorates and the phone responds slowly when overheating occurs. It is advised that you avoid using your phone while it is charging, reduce the screen brightness, and disable power-intensive apps and functions, such as Bluetooth and NFC;
7. Verify whether you installed third-party apps, such as theme, font, security/optimizer, battery manager or system launcher. Unlike the MIUI built-in features, these apps may not be compatible with the operating system or user interface and may cause your smartphone system to lag. In this case, please uninstall the above-mentioned third-party apps;
8. Check if there is a hardware issue by going to the [Phone] app and inputting *#*#6484#*#* or *#*#64663#*#* to enter the hardware detection (CIT mode). If there is a hardware issue, please contact our local official service center or your seller for further assistance. They will help you in this regard;
9. If the above methods can’t resolve the issue, please back up the data, log out your Xiaomi and Google accounts, and perform a factory reset by navigating to [Settings] >> [About phone] >> [Factory reset].
However, if there is no hardware issue, we hope you could submit the user feedback by going to [Settings] >> [Services & feedback], and wait for the future updates.
