How to use the location function of the Xiaomi Tag?

Xiaomi Tag itself does not support GPS positioning; it obtains its latest location by reporting the phone's location information to the cloud.
If you want to know more about the location function of the Xiaomi Tag, please refer to the following content:
1. When the Xiaomi Tag and the phone's location App are connected, location information can be updated in real time.
2. When the Xiaomi Tag is offline and disconnected from your phone, the location will be uploaded via a nearby auxiliary phone. When a qualified auxiliary phone is within the Xiaomi Tag's BLE effective range, the auxiliary phone's location App obtains the Xiaomi Tag information and sends its current location to the cloud. The cloud will then send it to the phone to update the location information.
3. Based on the above rules, Xiaomi Tag devices can be used for offline location tracking of the elderly, children, and pets. However, due to the offline tracking principle, accurate location information cannot be reported in real time.
Note:
1. Assisting phones must use the same protocol as your phone. If the Xiaomi Tag is bound through Google's Find Hub App on Android, the assisting phone must also be an Android device with Google's Find Hub App installed.
2. The assisting phone must grant the necessary permissions to Google's Find Hub App or the Find My App, including location access and location sharing. These permissions are requested when the App is first opened.
3. If no eligible assisting phones are nearby, the Xiaomi Tag cannot update its location while offline.
