Why is sound still playing from the phone even though the Redmi Buds 6 is connected?
If the earbuds and phone are connected while music, video, or call audio is still playing from the phone, it is due to disabling the Media audio option.
Solution: After connecting the earbuds to the phone, go to [Settings] >> [Bluetooth] >> find [Redmi Buds 6] and tap the [>] icon to enable [Media audio].
Then please refer to the following steps:
1. On the phone’s Bluetooth settings interface, disconnect the earbuds and reconnect them;
2. Turn off Bluetooth on the phone and then turn it back on. The earbuds will reconnect automatically;
3. Place both earbuds in the charging case, press and hold the function button for 2 seconds, and re-pair the Bluetooth connection;
4. If none of the above works, try restoring factory settings: place both earbuds in the charging case, open the lid, then press and hold the function button for 10 seconds until the indicator flashes continuously, indicating a factory reset.
