The computer crashes, or the phone crashes when the phone is connected to the computer

To resolve this issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
1. Uninstall the phone driver on the computer and reinstall it. Temporarily disable the firewall and antivirus software on the computer;
2. Try using a different power cable or a different computer port, such as the USB port at the back of the case;
3. Try connecting the phone to a different computer. If the phone keeps restarting or freezing, take it to the after-sales service center for inspection.
Note:
This issue is not caused by the phone in most cases.
Xiaomi phones use MTP/PTP mode to connect to the computer. When connecting for the first time, the computer needs to load the MTP driver, and some security software will conflict with the MTP driver, causing the system to crash. Additionally, some simplified versions of operating systems can also cause connection failures. For a better using experience, it is recommended to use a genuine, non-simplified system and to temporarily disable security software completely when connecting the phone to the computer for the first time.
