What are force touch and 3D touch?

Force Touch, also known as pressure-sensitive touch or force-sensitive touch, is a new touch technology. It is mainly used in Apple Watch screens and MacBook 2015. Through Force Touch technology, devices can sense the difference between a light press and a tap, and trigger different corresponding functions. Compared to ordinary multi-touch technology, the experience is enhanced.
In simple terms, Force Touch technology supports not only regular multi-touch but also distinguishes between taps and presses. The difference between a tap and a press on the screen is based on how long your finger stays in contact with the screen.
3D Touch, known as multi-dimensional touch technology, is currently used primarily in the screens of the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. 3D Touch is also a new touch technology that not only supports the existing Force Touch light press and tap functions but also adds the function of pressing the screen firmly, which takes the touch experience to a higher level.
