The Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP can not receive notifications from the Xiaomi Smart Camera
If your camera can not receive notifications, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check if the firmware version of the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP is up to date;
2. Backup any locally downloaded videos, then uninstall and reinstall the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP;
3. Verify if all devices are unable to receive push notifications. In the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP, go to [Profile] >> [Settings] >> [Message settings] >> enable [Device notifications] >> tap [Device notification management] to enable [Allow notifications];
4. Check if notifications are enabled for the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP.
On the Xiaomi phones: Go to [Settings] >> [Apps] >> [Manage apps] >> [Mi Home/Xiaomi Home] >> [Notifications] >> enable [Show notifications], as well as all other notification permissions such as [Notification badges], [Floating notifications], and [Lock screen notifications].
On iOS phones: Go to [Settings] >> [Mi Home/Xiaomi Home] >> [Notifications] >> enable [Allow Notifications];
5. Ensure that the home surveillance feature is enabled on the camera and that all event notification types are turned on. If some event types are not enabled, certain messages will not be notified. Go to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP >> select your camera >> tap the three-dot at the upper right corner >> enter [Home surveillance settings] >> enable [Home surveillance] and [Detection push notifications] >> enter [Event notification type] and enable all push event types;
Note:
The function has an alarm interval setting. During this interval, even if motion is detected, no alarm notifications will be sent. For example, if the interval is set to 3 minutes, any movement within those 3 minutes will not trigger an alarm.
6. Ensure that the camera's AI features are enabled for the relevant detection types. Go to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP >> select your camera >> tap the three-dot at the upper right corner >> enter [AI settings] and select the features to enable.
