The Mi 10 doesn't transfer data to the PC by using a USB cable

If you're having trouble transferring data from your Mi 10 to your PC using a USB cable, you can try the following methods:
1. After connecting the smartphone to a PC, the smartphone prompts options for [No data transfer], [File transfer/Android Auto] and [Transfer photos]. Then tap on [File transfer/Android Auto];
2. Check if you are using the original USB cable, since some USB cable is not capable for data transfer;
3. If you are using unoriginal USB cable, ensure that the USB cable is in good condition and capable for data transfer;
4. If possible, check if another phone can transfer data with the same USB cable;
5. Use a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, the USB port may not be in good condition;
6. Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software on your PC and try again;
7. Restart both your PC and smartphone;
8. Try connecting your smartphone to a different computer to see if the issue is originated to your PC;
9. Check whether the charging port on the smartphone is clean or in good condition;
10. Turn on Developer mode at first by navigating to [Settings] >> [About phone] >> tap on [MIUI version] multiple times (usually seven times) in quick succession. Then navigate to [Settings] >> [Additional settings] >> [Developer options]. Look for the [Default USB configuration] option and change it to [File transfer].
A friendly tip:
Instead of using a USB cable, consider using alternative methods like Wi-Fi transfer, cloud services, or Xiaomi's built-in Mi Share feature.
We hope the above information is helpful. If the issue still occurs, we hope you could submit user feedback by going to [Settings] >> [Services & feedback], and wait for the future updates.
