Third-party app issues

Solutions:
1. It is suggested to update the app to the latest version via the app store or the official app website.
2. For popular apps, version updates are usually released soon after a new Android version is released. The MIUI team regularly sends update requests to app developers to ensure that compatibility issues are resolved.
3. It is advised to wait for a version update or to contact the app developer.
(2) App quits unexpectedly:
Problem Description:
A system or third-party app quits unexpectedly immediately after launch.
Solutions:
If only one app is affected:
1. Clear the cache for the affected app. Go to Settings >> More apps. Touch the corresponding app and select Clear data. (This will clear the app cache, including message history, game progress etc.)
2. Reinstall the app and try again. It is advised to download the app from the Google Play store.
3. Ascertain when the app stopped working (e.g. after updating to a new version of Android (7.0, 8.0 or 9.0)). The app may be incompatible with the new version of Android. If so, it is advised to wait for the app to be updated.
4. It is advised to back up data (e.g. using Google or Mi Cloud), perform a factory reset, then reinstall the app.
5. If the issue persists, the app may be incompatible with the device. Try using another similar app.
If all apps are affected:
1. It is advised to back up data (e.g. using Google or Mi Cloud), perform a factory reset, then reinstall the app. It is advised o go to Recovery mode and select Clear data if Settings can not be accessed.
2. If the issue persists and the boot loader has been unlocked, the Mi flash tool can be used to update the phone to the latest stable version or developer's version.
If none of the above work, it is suggested to bring device to a Xiaomi service center.
(3) Apps or games downloaded from a third-party app store do not work properly:
Problem Description:
Apps or games downloaded from a third-party app store can not be installed or crash during use.
Cause:
1. Apps and games on the Google Play store are tested for compatibility before release.
2. Apps and games from third-party app stores may not be compatible with Xiaomi devices and may not install or function correctly.
If an app from a third-party app store do not work properly, it is suggested to search for the app on the Google Play store. If the app is unavailable, it is suggested to wait for the app to be released on the Google Play store, or it is advised to report the issue to the app developer via the in-app feedback function.
