How do I restore data from a homescreen cloud backup?
Activate the new phone, you can choose to restore the homescreen application layout and related Settings on the old device from the cloud in boot. Apps recovered from the cloud will automatically be placed in the same location as the backup, and if the phone's desktop already has apps not included in the backup, they will be centrally placed at the end of the screen.
Method 1: Restore homescreen data from boot
In the "Data Recovery" page of boot, select "Restore from Mi Cloud Backup", and click "Continue".
[Note] If there is no backup data in the desktop cloud backup, the "Data Recovery" page is not displayed in boot, and the page will be skipped.
Method 2: Restore desktop data from system Settings
- On Mi phone, please go to "Setting" > "Mi account" > "" cloud service" > "desktop cloud backup" and click "restore data to this phone".
- Select the name of the device you want to restore, and then click restore to this Device.
