Xiaomi 15T/Xiaomi 15T Pro – EXCLUSIVE SERVICES TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

In these terms and conditions, “Xiaomi”, “we”, “us” and “our” means Xiaomi Technology Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 50 685 941 244).

These terms and conditions set out our offer of particular rights and services to certain purchasers of certain devices (the “Exclusive Service Offer”), as described in these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are current as at 30th September 2025.

Importantly, rights under the Exclusive Service Offer are offered in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The benefits under the Exclusive Service Offer are not insurance.

1.      Eligibility Criteria

The Exclusive Service Offer is limited to purchasers of Xiaomi 15T or Xiaomi 15T Pro smartphones (the “Product(s)”) where:

·        the Products are purchased through any Xiaomi official sales channel in Australia; and

·        Products that are activated in Australia.

2.      Rights and services included in the Exclusive Service Offer

Purchasers of the Products who meet the eligibility criteria above (“Eligible Purchasers”) receive the following rights and services as the Exclusive Service Offer:

i.               One free screen replacement within 6 months of the date of purchase (see section ‎3.1) only for Eligible Purchases who make a purchase between 30th September 2025 and 9 October 2026;

ii.              One out-of-coverage repair with free labour costs within 12 months of the date of purchase (see section 3.2);

iii.             24 months (from the of the date of purchase) of Exclusive customer services (see section 3.3);

iv.            a 3-month free trial of YouTube Premium (see section‎ 3.4);

v.              a 3-month free trial of Google AI Pro (see section 3.5);

3.      SERVICES DESCRIPTION

3.1.        One free screen replacement within 6 months 

Eligible Purchasers who make a purchase between 30th September 2025 and 9 October 2026 are eligible for one (1) screen replacement service during the first six (6) months after the date of first purchase of the Product by the Eligible Purchaser, if the screen of a Product is damaged or faulty by a non-intentional action of any individual and subject to the exclusions below.

How do I claim a screen replacement?

If you wish to request a screen replacement, you must contact the Xiaomi Customer Service as described below and provide your proof of purchase. The Xiaomi Authorised Service Centre will assess the Product and if it determines the screen should be replaced, such replacement of the screen shall be provided free of charge. The Eligible Purchaser is responsible for any logistics costs (including postage).

Exclusions

The screen replacement service does not apply to or cover the following situations: 

1.      The serial number and/or IMEI number of the Product is damaged or has been removed or tampered with;

2.      The Product is a counterfeit and was not manufactured by Xiaomi;

3.      Damage to the screen was caused intentionally or with gross negligence;

4.      Damages affect only the surface of the screen, such as scratches or other aesthetic appearance of the screen;

5.      Damages are incurred by malware, unauthorized software or third-party apps used by the end users;

6.      The Eligible Purchaser is unable to provide proof of purchase;

7.      The defect is caused by a non-intended purposes use or contrary to Xiaomi’s instructions, manuals or guidelines;

8.      The defect arises from the Eligible Purchaser’s own or unauthorised repair/manipulation, or the use of non-authorised or non-original spare parts, software, or components; or

9.      The Product requires full replacement (i.e., not just a replacement of the screen) due to screen damage or modifications.

3.2.        One out-of-coverage repair with free labour costs within 12 months 

Eligible Purchasers are eligible for one (1) out-of-coverage repair within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, where:

·        Xiaomi will, if the Product is defective or faulty for reasons that mean the Eligible Purchaser does not have any other rights to have the Product repaired, replaced or refunded under the Australian Consumer Law or under other arrangements, provide the labour to repair a defective or faulty Product at no cost to the Eligible Purchaser;

·        The Eligible Purchaser is and remains responsible for the costs of spare or replacement parts and any postage and handling costs;

Some exclusions apply as set out below.

How do I claim an out-of-coverage replacement?

Eligible Purchasers can contact Xiaomi Customer Service through the contact information as listed on https://www.mi.com/au/support/ and apply for the service. 

The Xiaomi Customer Service will ask Eligible Purchasers to provide proof of Purchase and IMEI number of the Product, in order to check if the conditions of the Service are fulfilled, prior to providing details for the Product to be mailed in for repair. The Eligible Purchaser is responsible for the costs of postage and handling.

After the device is arrived at the mail-in repair centre, an inspection of the Product will be performed and a detailed quotation for the repair of the Product (excluding the labour cost, which will be borne by Xiaomi as noted above) offer. Eligible Purchaser can then decide whether to accept the offer and have the Product repaired, or not. If you choose not to proceed with the repair, the Product will be returned and the postage will be borne by the Eligible Purchaser.

Exclusions

The screen replacement service does not apply to or cover the following situations: 

1.      The serial number and/or IMEI number is damaged or has been removed or tampered with;

2.      The product is a counterfeit and was not manufactured by Xiaomi.

3.3.        24-month Exclusive customer service

Eligible Purchasers may, during the first twenty-four (24) months after the date of first purchase of the Product by the Eligible Purchaser, receive additional hotline customer support services by contacting the Xiaomi Customer Service on 1800 270 852 during Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 AEST.

3.4.         3-month free trial of YouTube Premium

Offer is valid for new users only (no previous trials of YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red, or Google Play Music). Must be redeemed by no later than 30 November, 2026, at 11:59 PM local time. The Eligible Purchaser is entitled to a free subscription to YouTube Premium for a period of 3 months from the date of activation. How do I redeem the offer?

·        Open your YouTube app and tap the profile icon in the top right corner.

·        Tap “Get YouTube Premium.” You will need to sign in if you aren’t already signed in.

·        Click “Get YouTube Premium.”  The offer will be here.

·        If you don’t have a payment method on file, you will be asked to add one. Otherwise, your existing method will be used.  This screen displays your trial end date.

3.5.        3-month free trial of Google AI Pro

Only available for ages 18+. Offer must be redeemed by no later than 30 November, 2026, at 11:59 PM local time. The Eligible Purchaser is entitled to a free subscription to Google AI Pro for a period of 3 months from the date of activation. How to redeem the offer?

l  Open the Gemini app or Google One app

l  Click “Try now” on the pop-up that says “Try Google AI Pro at no extra cost”. If you don’t see the pop-up, tap the profile icon in the right hand corner and select “Try Google AI Pro” from the menu

l  Tap “Start trial.” A valid form of payment is required at sign-up, but you won’t be charged until the trial period expires. Cancel anytime before the trial expires to avoid being charged.

4.      MISCELLANEOUS

Please be sure to delete all your files, log out your Xiaomi account and disable your security password when returning Products as part of exercising any aspects of the Exclusive Service Offer, including but not limited to your personal and/or confidential documents and data. The User is responsible for erasing all data (including personal and/or confidential files and data from the User). Xiaomi assumes no responsibility for any data loss and privacy issues caused by your personal documents or data remaining on Products when you return it back.

With some repairs it may not be possible to repair all parts, in which case we may replace damages components with new or refurbished parts. Therefore, your repaired products may not include all the original parts or components.
