Why is the level of PM2.5 displayed too high when using the Xiaomi air purifier?

PM2.5 refers to particulate matter that is 2.5 micrometers or smaller in diameter. These tiny particles can be found in the air and can have significant health impacts when inhaled. Through connecting the air purifier to the APP, we can check the current level of the PM2.5 and adjust the effect of air purification.
If the level of PM2.5 is displayed too high, please refer to the following details:
1. Please check whether the sensor is malfunctioned. You can use the transparent tape to obstruct the air inlet and air outlet on the sensor compartment cover completely and refresh the APP to check whether the level decreases. The level is decreased theoretically because the sensor cannot detect for no air entering the sensor. If the level is not decreased, please clean the sensor. If the issue persists, please contact the local after-sales service center;
2. If the air quality in your home is poor, the purifier has not yet purified the home in a short period of time or due to limited purification effect at the mode with low standard. You can close the windows in the appropriate room and adjust the mode to the appropriate standard to continue purification.
