When the Mi Fitness App maintains a Bluetooth connection with your Xiaomi Watch 5, it pushes notifications from the phone’s notification bar to the watch, notifying you of new notifications on the phone. However, if there are no notifications displayed in the phone's notification bar, the watch will not receive any notifications, even if the phone's Apps have new notifications.
If the Xiaomi Watch 5 cannot receive notifications from the phone, please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1. Ensure that the phone has a stable network connection, Bluetooth is enabled, and the phone is properly connected to the watch.
2. Make sure that notifications are set to display in the phone's notification bar.
3. Check if the App notifications option is enabled in the Mi Fitness App.
4. Verify whether the watch is in Do Not Disturb or Sleep mode. During these periods, the watch will not vibrate to alert you of new notifications.
5. Check if [Notify only when worn] is enabled on the watch. With this switch turned on, the watch will only receive notifications while being worn.
6. If your phone is running on the Android system, it is recommended to enable background running permissions to ensure that the App operates properly in the background.
