If the location tracking on the Xiaomi Watch 5 is inaccurate, please refer to the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. The watch will be in an environment with weak or blocked satellite signals, such as indoors, underground, tunnels, or under bridges, which can prevent accurate positioning. Please move to an open outdoor space to improve GPS reception.
2. Dense buildings, tunnels, underground parking lots, under overpasses, and rainy weather can affect satellite signal reception. Please avoid using positioning in these environments.
3. Positioning in new environments can take longer than in familiar areas. Please be patient. In open outdoor areas with a good satellite signal, the device should locate successfully within one minute.
4. The Xiaomi Watch 5 supports intelligent selection of positioning signal sources when connected to a mobile phone; therefore, it is recommended that you verify whether the Mi Fitness App has been granted full location permissions on your phone to enhance distance accuracy.
5. Ensure that the back of the watch is tightly attached to the skin of the wrist, as wearing the watch too loosely will result in inaccurate positioning.
6. Please update the watch firmware and Mi Fitness App to the latest version.
7. If the issue persists, please contact the after-sales service for further inspection.
