The Xiaomi Pad 8 screen can become unresponsive to finger touch after writing with the Xiaomi Focus Pen or Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro because the system activates palm rejection and stylus priority to prevent accidental touches while using the pen. This feature ensures accurate writing by temporarily limiting finger input when the stylus is in use or nearby. As a result, finger touch will not respond immediately after writing.
To restore normal finger touch operation, magnetically attach the Xiaomi Focus Pen or Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro to the tablet. Once the pen is attached, the device recognizes that stylus input has ended and automatically re-enables normal finger touch functionality.
If the stylus is magnetically attached to the tablet and there is still no response when using your finger to touch the screen, please contact the after-sales service center for further inspection.
