If the heart rate is inaccurate on the Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm, please refer to the following information:
1. The Milanese strap of the Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm is relatively rigid, tends to move around more when worn, and does not fit as snugly against the wrist. It is recommended to tighten the strap slightly when measuring heart rate.
2. Inaccurate heart rate measurements can result from factors such as wearing methods, skin tone, hair, reduced blood perfusion, low temperatures causing vasoconstriction, or dirt and moisture between the watch and the wrist.
3. To ensure accurate measurements, please wear the watch snugly. A loose fit can cause deviations in heart rate data during exercise. Ensure the device does not slide down the wrist during arm movement and is worn one finger width above the wrist bone.
4. In cold weather, low temperatures can cause capillary constriction in the extremities, redirecting blood flow to the trunk and internal organs. This makes it more difficult for the watch to obtain accurate photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate signals, and can lead to signal loss during exercise. Therefore, it is recommended to warm up sufficiently before exercise to increase blood flow and facilitate more accurate sensor readings.
5. Please also ensure that the back of the watch is clean and dry, the device temperature is within a normal range, and the wrist is free of sweat or debris, while maintaining a comfortable and snug fit.
6. Our engineers are continuously working to optimize heart rate measurement, so please look forward to future updates.
Note:
Heart rate data are sourced from Xiaomi’s testing laboratory. Accuracy refers to the percentage of measurements where the device reading differs from the gold-standard AE by less than 10 bpm. Actual accuracy may vary due to individual differences, usage habits, and environmental factors.
