What to do if the map becomes skewed or overlaps on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro?

If the map becomes skewed or overlaps on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro, please follow the steps below:
  1. Confirm that the map has been successfully saved (you can see partitioned areas on the map and be able to use zone cleaning).
  2. Turn off the power switch and restart the robot vacuum. Then manually place it back on the charging dock to try restoring the map. If map restoration fails, relocate the charging dock and create a new map.
Note:
  1. Place the charging dock against a wall, ensuring at least 0.5 meters on both sides and 1.5 meters in front are free from obstacles.
  2. During cleaning, avoid moving or interfering with the robot vacuum manually.
  3. Strong direct light or mirror reflections in the home can cause mapping errors:
      (1) For strong light, draw the curtains or map at a different time.
      (2) For mirrors, cover the bottom 15 cm of the reflective surface.
    1. Regularly check the sides of the navigation sensor for dust and wipe clean with a dry cloth or tissue if needed.
