How to check if the device supports RCS chats?

RCS (Rich Communication Services) chats are an upgraded messaging protocol that enhances traditional SMS and MMS by providing advanced features similar to messaging apps like WhatsApp and iMessage. It allows for richer media sharing, read receipts, typing indicators, and improved group messaging over mobile data or Wi-Fi. RCS (Rich Communication Services) chats are available on Android devices and other devices where RCS is turned on in settings. Check your carrier and device settings. Availability of RCS varies by country/region and carrier.
To check if the device supports RCS chats, please refer to the following steps:
1. Open the [Messages] app;
2. Tap the Profile icon in the upper right corner;
3. Tap [Messages settings];
4. If your phone supports RCS, you will see an option called [RCS chats]. If RCS is supported, you'll be able to toggle the Chat features on or off.
