If the Mi Power Strip can't connect to the Wi-Fi network, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure that your power strip's firmware is up-to-date. Please check for updates by going to the Mi Home app >> [Mi Home] >> [Device card] >> [Settings] >> [Firmware update];
2. Check that your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and that its signal strength is strong enough for the power strip to connect. You can verify this by checking other devices connected to the same network;
3. Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is compatible with the smart power strip and that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password;
4. Check the distance between your power strip and the router. If it is beyond 5 meters or if there is a partition wall in between, try moving the power strip to a location closer to the router;
5. Check if your router is connected to multiple intelligent devices leading to network slowdown or router unresponsiveness. Try restarting your router;
6. Simply unplugging your smart power strip from the power source and then plugging it back in may resolve connectivity issues;
7. Check if your mobile phone is restricting the permissions of the Mi Home app, such as networking and positioning. Allow these permissions and try again;
8. Reset your Wi-Fi network by holding down the reset button on the power strip for 5 seconds using a pin or paperclip until the light flashes;
9. If the issue persists, try a factory reset by pressing and holding the power button for more than 7 seconds until the indicator rapidly blinks in orange. This will reset the power strip to its original factory settings.
If none of the above troubleshooting methods resolve the issue, please contact our local official service center or your seller for further assistance. They will be happy to help you.
