What to do if the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ is unable to detect obstacles?

If the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ is unable to detect obstacles, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
1. If the laser sensor lens is dirty or has fingerprints, the robot vacuum can fail to detect obstacles accurately, resulting in collisions or inefficient cleaning. Gently wipe the lens with a soft, dry cloth to restore proper detection.
2. Some objects, such as dark-colored or highly reflective surfaces (like metal), transparent objects (like glass walls), small table or chair legs, low-profile obstacles, or objects in blind spots, can not always be detected and could cause minor collisions.
3. In low-light conditions, the robot vacuum’s ability to recognize objects such as mesh structures, power cords, shoes, or weighing scales can be reduced. To improve detection, please clear or move these small objects from the floor before cleaning.
4. When encountering soft or flexible obstacles, such as curtains or partially open doors, the robot vacuum could slow down and lightly touch or avoid them. Minor contact with these objects is considered normal.
5. In homes with complex layouts or many floor obstacles, the robot vacuum can collide while trying to free itself. This is expected behavior in challenging environments.
6. If problems persist, please contact the after-sales service center for further assistance.
