Why are the PM2.5 values displayed on the Mijia Smart Air Purifier Max inaccurate?

If the PM2.5 values displayed on the Mijia Smart Air Purifier Max are inaccurate, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
1. Check if the laser particle sensor compartment door on the back of the unit is dirty or blocked. If it is dirty or blocked, you can use a non-sharp tool to open the laser particle sensor compartment door and clean the filter and sensor with an air gun or hairdryer (do not use hot air). After cleaning is complete, reassemble the device and perform testing.
2. Different readings in the same environment for multiple air purifiers, and different environmental factors such as altitude, can also cause different readings. You can test them all in sleep mode and with different levels of smoke. If the error value increases linearly, it indicates a malfunction of the laser particle sensor. If the error value is within a certain range, it is considered normal.
3. A dirty or improperly installed filter can cause the purifier to misread PM2.5 levels. Check if the filter is installed correctly. If the filter cartridge is clogged or has exceeded its recommended service life, please replace it.
4. Try restarting the device and ensure that both the device firmware and the Xiaomi Home App are updated to the latest version.
5. After resetting the device, check if it returns to normal.
6. If the problem persists, please contact the after-sales service center.
