The Redmi 9 supports Xiaomi Cloud, which allows you to sync contacts, messages, call history, notes, and other data, locate your device, and share items with friends. However, several factors will affect the normal synchronization of Xiaomi Cloud, such as insufficient backup space, the lack of operations about cloud backup, and the service abnormality.
If the data of Messages and Call history doesn’t sync to the Xiaomi Cloud, please refer to the following details:
1. Please check whether there is sufficient available backup storage. You can go to [Settings] >> [About phone] >> [Back up and restore] >> [Xiaomi Cloud] >> [Backups] >> check the estimated backup size. If the size is insufficient, please go to [Manage cloud backups] to delete the unnecessary data;
2. Please check whether you enable [Messages] and [Call history] below [Sync app data]. If you enable it, please tap [Sync] and check whether the data is synchronized;
3. If you enable [Automatic backups] and select [Every 7 days] as [Backup schedule], the data will be synchronized every 7 days, so you can’t check the data generated in 7 days. Please select [Every day] and the data will be synchronized everyday.
If the above methods can’t solve the issue, please submit feedback or apply to the local after-sales service center.
