1. Q: Why can't find the portrait band display in the band display market?
A: Sorry, the portrait band display is currently only supported on the Xiaomi phones with HyperOS.
2. Q: What to do if the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro cannot be charged or fully charged?
A: Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1. If you’re using a power bank for charging, please note that power banks have a protection mechanism. When the power bank’s battery is low, it will not be able to fully charge the band. It’s recommended to use a standard USB charger with a 5V voltage and at least 1A output current along with the designated charging cable;
2. Check if there’s any dirt on the metal contacts of the band and the charging cable. Try cleaning them with an alcohol swab or tissue to ensure good contact between the band and the charging cable;
3. Check if the charging adapter is functioning properly. You can try using a different standard adapter to charge the band;
4. Check if the charging cable is working. If you have a spare cable compatible with the band, try using it;
5. Charge in an environment with a temperature above 10℃;
6. The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro’s charging time is approximately 1 hour. If it’s not fully charged, ensure that the charging duration is sufficient and hasn’t been cut short;
7. When the battery level reaches 100%, don’t immediately unplug the charging cable. It’s recommended to leave the band on the charger for about 10 more minutes;
8. If there’s no response after a long charging period, consider requesting the after-sales service center support for further inspection.
Note:
Please ensure the environment where the band is charging is not too hot or too cold. If the temperature is too high or too low, the system will prevent charging. The charging function will resume once the temperature returns to normal.
3. Q: Why cannot set a custom photo as the band display on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: To set a custom photo, you need to use the album band display. Go to the Mi Fitness APP >> [Device] >> [Manage band displays] >> [Album band displays].
4. Q: Why can’t the exercise records on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro sync to the phone?
A: After updating the band to version 1.1.100, the Mi Fitness APP also needs to be updated to the latest version (Android 3.35.x & iOS 3.29.0).
Reason: Older APP versions don’t support outdoor running data, so the report cannot sync to the phone.
Solution: Reset to factory settings to clear old data. Update the Mi Fitness APP to version 3.35.0 or above on Android, or 3.29.0 or above on iOS. Future exercise records will sync to the phone properly.
5. Q: Why can’t the resting heart rate be measured?
A: The resting heart rate is the number of heartbeats per minute in a calm, inactive, and awake state. It cannot be measured while you are in an active state.
6. Q: What functions are in the Control center of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: Top status indicators from left to right: battery level, Bluetooth connection status (indicates if disconnected from the phone), and time.

7. Q: What to do if the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro freezes or the touch screen becomes unresponsive? How to force restart it?
A: If the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro freezes or the touch screen becomes unresponsive, you can force restart it by quickly plugging and unplugging the charger 10 times within 5 seconds.
8. Q: Why are there about 12 days of data on the Mi Fitness APP after the sleep apnea is added to the APP?
A: Due to memory limitations, the data on the band can only be stored for about 12 days. You need to tap sync in the Mi Fitness APP to continue to store new data. It is recommended to update the data in time.
9. Q: The lap and distance data for swimming on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro are inaccurate. How to set the pool length?
A: The swimming feature requires the correct pool length to generate accurate workout reports.
If the lap and distance data in your swimming report is inaccurate, you can follow these steps to set the pool length for improved data accuracy:
Open [Workout] on the band >> [Pool swimming] >> [Settings] >> [Pool length] >> set the actual value based on the length of your pool.
10. Q: Why is the step count on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro inaccurate, showing many steps even though no walking and the step count suddenly increases?
A: The Mi Fitness APP supports data fusion from multiple devices. Data from several devices under the same account (including the phone connected to the band, the phone logged into the same account, or other devices like the band or watch connected to the same account) will be merged. If multiple people are using the same account, it could result in inflated step count, calories, and other daily data. It is recommended to use each Xiaomi account by one person only and not share it among multiple persons.
11. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support music storage?
A: The band does not have a speaker and does not support actively playing music or storing music files on the band itself. However, it supports controlling music playback on your phone through the band.
12. Q: Why does the green light flicker even when the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is not being worn?
A: If the green light flickers intermittently for 10-30 seconds, it is because the band uses infrared and green light for wear detection. Compared to traditional wear detection, this provides much higher accuracy and precision. Therefore, even when not worn, there will be brief green light flickering.
If the green light continues to flash, check whether you have activated sports mode. In this mode, the green light stays on to ensure fast heart rate measurement.
13. Q: Why is there no reminder when the heart rate is too high on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: The band will only send a reminder if the heart rate remains above the set high threshold or below the low threshold for 10 minutes in a resting state. It is normal if there are occasional instances where the heart rate exceeds or falls below the threshold without a reminder.
14. Q: Why is the step count on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro inaccurate, showing no increase even after walking a little?
A: To avoid counting steps from slight wrist movements, the algorithm is designed to only count steps when it detects continuous and obvious walking. Therefore, if you only take a few steps or move your wrist slightly, the step count will not increase. It is recommended that you walk a few more steps and check again. We are continuously optimizing the step counting algorithm to improve your experience.

(2). After the iOS phone is connected to the device and the device is unilaterally restored to the factory, the Bluetooth on the phone will try to reconnect the device, and there is a probability that the new phone will not be able to search for the device (The iOS phone will remain disconnected from the device, and during the connection period, the new phone will not be able to search. During the disconnection period, the new phone is just in scanning mode and can be searched). Q: Why does the phone prompt that the band is already linked to another account when trying to bind it?
A: If you see a prompt in the Mi Fitness APP that the band is already bound when searching for the device, it can be because the APP has detected others band rather than your own. When a new band that hasn't been paired is brought close to the phone, the phone will display a pop-up with the device model, Bluetooth address and the device image.
To achieve this function, the following conditions need to be met:
1. On the phone, network, Bluetooth and Pair compatible devices need to be turned on for band searching to begin. The Pair compatible devices activation path is [Settings] >> [Bluetooth] >> [Additional settings] >> [Pair compatible devices];
2. The band should be in an unpaired state;
3. Distance between the band and phone is recommended to be within 1 meter. 10. Q: Does the phone’s Bluetooth need to be turned on all the time when using the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?

Steps, sleep, heart rate monitoring, stress or blood oxygen monitoring, vitality scores, breathing training and women's health management can record data independently without the need for a constant Bluetooth connection. However, regular connection to the phone is necessary to sync health data. It is recommended to connect the phone during exercise to record the trajectory;
2. Functions such as stopwatch, alarm, focus, calendar, world clock, etc., do not require the Bluetooth to be constantly turned on;
3. Functions like incoming calls reminder, APP notification reminder, find phone, events reminder, weather, find device, control phone music playback, remote control phone photography, etc., require Bluetooth to be turned on to maintain communication with the band and phone.
Note:

To avoid memory cleaning and interference from some management software on the Android system, please follow the instructions on the APP: [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Device] >> [Notifications and calls] >> [Background permissions] >> set up as required on the page;
2. The iOS cannot perform background protection for APPs. When the APP is removed in the background, the Bluetooth connection will not be disconnected and message notifications can be used normally. 3. The generated workout data cannot be synchronized to the phone in the first time, and the band will lose the information after restoring to the factory;
4. You cannot receive notification reminders from your phone, and the band cannot find the phone. 12. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro unsynchronized data when in a prolonged disconnected state with an iOS phone?
A: When APPs run in the background for an extended period, they will be removed, causing the device to disconnect from the Mi Fitness APP and preventing data synchronization. To sync data, you need to enter the Mi Fitness APP for automatic reconnection and data synchronization. After the APP is removed in the background, reopening it will automatically reconnect the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro for normal synchronization.
The occurrence of being removed in the background is primarily due to the APP using up the RAM. To free up sufficient resources for newly opened APPs, the system needs to terminate some background-running APPs to free up RAM. The frequency of being removed in the background varies depending on the device model and iOS software version. For example, on an iPhone 12 with 4GB of RAM, running 4 APPs will lead to being removed in the background on iOS 16.3.1. However, on the iOS 16.4 official version, running 5-6 APPs does not lead to being removed in the background. This varies depending on specific APPs, such as the camera APP which consumes relatively more memory.
To reduce the frequency of being removed in the background during normal usage, consider the following two points:
1. Ensure sufficient battery power to avoid overheating of the phone and disable low power mode. Insufficient battery power, severe overheating or running the phone in low power mode will significantly increase the frequency of background APP termination;
2. Open [Settings] >> [General] >> [Background App Refresh] on your phone and enable this feature.
To determine whether the APP has been removed in the background by the system, please refer to the following operation:
1. If the Mi Fitness APP has been removed in the background, reopening it will follow these two steps: first, display the APP launch page, then display the APP's homepage;
2. If the Mi Fitness APP has not been removed in the background, reopening the APP will resume the previous operation before exiting. 13. Q: Why can't the current phone reconnect and why is the Mi Fitness APP not showing the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro when multiple phones are logged into the same Xiaomi Account?
A: Here are several reasons for this issue:
1. The current phone cannot reconnect because the old phone has unbound the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and the new phone has not synchronized the account. Therefore it cannot reconnect to this device;
2. Check what the band is displaying. If it's on the QR code screen or language selection screen, unbind the device from the Mi Fitness APP on your phone and then re-scan to pair;
3. Make sure the Bluetooth icon on the band is constantly on. If it is, use the Find my phone feature to check if it's connected to the current phone. If not, unbind the device from the APP and then rebind it with the current phone;
4. If the device is not shown on the old phone's Mi Fitness APP device page, it means the old phone has unbound the device. After logging in with the same account on the new phone and syncing, the band will not be displayed. If the band is on the QR code screen or language selection screen, re-scan to pair;
5. When connecting the band to two phones using the same Xiaomi Account, after resetting the band, pair it again with the new phone and turn off Bluetooth on the old phone. If the new phone still cannot reconnect, this could be because the new phone hasn't automatically retrieved the updated login and pairing information.
To avoid this issue, here are some suggestions as follows:
1. Try to avoid logging in with the same account on multiple phones;
2. If there is already a situation where you cannot connect back, turn off Bluetooth on other devices logged in with the same account and then try again;
3. Ensure a stable network connection and restart the APP after removing it to trigger the re-delivery of login and pairing information from the cloud, ensuring the band can reconnect. 14. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro show disconnected when connecting to a device?
A: It is because the Mi Fitness APP was removed in the background. Please check if you have enabled all background running permissions for the APP.
Here are two ways to set the permissions:
1. After the device and Mi Fitness APP are first connected, tap the [Settings] to set the permissions;
2. Open the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Device] >> [Notifications and calls] >> [Background permissions] to set the permissions. Check whether the permissions of [Turn off Battery saver], [Select “No restrictions” in Background settings], [Allow app autostart] and [Lock the app in background] are all enabled. 15. Q: Why can't the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro be found when pairing with a new phone after it has been reset to factory settings?
A: To resolve this issue, please troubleshoot as follows:
1. When the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is connected to an iOS phone and it is reset to factory settings, the iOS phone's Bluetooth will attempt to reconnect to it. This can result in the new phone being unable to find the band because the iOS phone and the band will keep connecting and disconnecting. During the connection period, the new phone cannot search for the band. If the new phone is in scanning mode when in the disconnection period, it will find the band. To resolve this, go to the iOS phone's Bluetooth settings, find the previously connected band and tap [Forget This Device]. Then, use the new phone to search and pair with the band;
2. When the band is connected to an Android phone and it is reset to factory settings, the Mi Fitness APP will reconnect to the band and prompt you holder to either [Remove] or [Add]. Select [Remove] and then use the new phone to search and connect or select [Add] and then you can directly reconnect. 16. Q: Why does the iOS phone fail to connect the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro to the Mi Fitness APP?
A: The connection can be interrupted due to reasons such as being out of range, Bluetooth not being enabled on the phone, or the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro being ignored in Bluetooth settings.
Please check if the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is listed under the devices connected to the system’s Bluetooth. If it is, tap it, forget the device, and then attempt to reconnect.
Here are some troubleshooting steps:
1. If there is a disconnection due to being out of range, or if the device is restarted and the Mi Fitness APP shows connecting but fails to connect within 5 seconds, please try manually tapping to reconnect or remove the APP and reopen it;
2. It is recommended to turn the Bluetooth off and on again in your phone's settings and then re-entering the APP to see if the connection can be successfully established;
3. When the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is connected to an iOS phone and it is reset to factory settings, the iOS phone's Bluetooth will attempt to reconnect to it. This can result in the new phone being unable to find the band because the iOS phone and the band will keep connecting and disconnecting. During the connection period, the new phone cannot search for the band. If the new phone is in scanning mode when in the disconnection period, it will find the band. To resolve this, go to the iOS phone's Bluetooth settings, find the previously connected band and tap [Forget This Device]. Then, use the new phone to search and pair with the band. 17. Q: Why the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro cannot be found during search when trying to rebind after unbinding?
A: Manually toggle the Bluetooth switch on the phone's system settings and restart both the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and the phone. 18. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro need to be reset to factory settings when reconnecting it after switching to a new phone?
A: If your Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is connected to the same Xiaomi Account, a factory reset is not required. However, if it's connected to a different Xiaomi Account, a factory reset will be necessary.

1. Q: How to measure and view heart rate on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: On the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro, if continuous monitoring is enabled, you can directly see heart rate data by tapping the heart rate icon. Once you enter the Heart rate APP, rest your arm flat, and you’ll see an animation during measurement. When complete, the heart rate reading will display.
On the Mi Fitness APP, you can go to [Health] >> [Heart rate] to access a comprehensive view. This includes a heart rate graph for the entire day, along with the highest, lowest, and resting heart rates, as well as alerts for excessively high or low heart rates.
Note:
Improper wear can affect heart rate signal accuracy. Light leakage from loose wear, arm movements, and minor shifts of the band on your skin can disrupt measurements. A band worn too tightly, raising the arm, or clenching a fist can also impact blood flow, potentially interfering with heart rate signals. 2. Q: What is the heart rate range of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: The heart rate interval refers to the range or level where the current heart rate is compared with the maximum heart rate. It reflects the load level of the heart. It is used to measure your exercise intensity. Exercise at the appropriate heart rate interval can help you enhance your heart and lung ability and improve your fitness level.
There are several states in the heart rate interval:
1. When the heart rate is between [50%, 60%] of the maximum heart rate: Warm-up zone;
2. When the heart rate is between (60%, 70%] of the maximum heart rate: Burning fat zone;
3. When the heart rate is between (70%, 80%] of the maximum heart rate: Aerobic zone;
4. When the heart rate is between (80%, 90%] of the maximum heart rate: Anaerobic zone;
5. When the heart rate is above 90% of the maximum heart rate: Limit zone;
6. When the heart rate is between (0, 50%] of the maximum heart rate: This range is not included in heart rate zone statistics. 3. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support continuous heart rate monitoring?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports continuous monitoring. You can go to the application list on the band to navigate the Heart rate APP and tap to view the current day’s heart rate details. Scroll up and tap [Settings] to set the preference you want, such as [Continuous monitoring], [High HR alert], or [Low HR alert]. Additionally, you can set [Off], [Smart], [1 min], [10 mins], or [30 mins] in [Continuous monitoring]. If you enable [Smart], the band will adjust monitoring frequency based on your activity level.
On the Mi Fitness APP, you can go to [Device] >> [Fitness and health] >> [Heart rate] to set. The band will automatically measure and record your heart rate according to the specified interval. Different modes impact battery life differently.
With continuous monitoring enabled, heart rate is tracked continuously throughout the day, which can reduce battery life. You can choose a monitoring frequency of 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or enable smart monitoring. When smart monitoring is enabled, the band increases measurement frequency during periods of activity, capturing more frequent heart rate changes. In rest moments, it measures every 10 minutes for 25 seconds, while in high activity, it measures every minute for 25 seconds. 4. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support high or low HR alerts?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports high or low HR alerts.
If your heart rate reaches the preset alert level while at rest (non-activity state) and remains elevated for 10 minutes, the band will vibrate to notify you. The high heart rate alert can be set between 100 and 150 beats per minute. This feature requires enabling continuous monitoring to be set to smart monitoring, or intervals of 1, 10, or 30 minutes.
To enable this mode, please refer to the following methods:
1. On the band, you can go to the heart rate APP in the application list and tap to view the current day’s heart rate details. Scroll down and tap [Settings] to set [High HR alert] or [Low HR alert];
2. On the Mi Fitness APP, you can go to [Device] >> [Fitness and health] >> [Heart rate] to set [High heart rate] or [Low heart rate]. 5. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support sleep monitoring and what is the monitoring range?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports sleep monitoring. For sleep periods lasting 3 hours or more, the band will display the average heart rate for that segment based on available data. For shorter naps under 3 hours, it only shows the sleep and wake times. Sleep periods under 20 minutes are not recorded.
6. Q: Why is the sleep data not accurate in the process of monitoring sleep and wake-up?
A: The monitoring principle of sleep and wake-up is listed below:
The sleep algorithm determines whether you sleep or wake up by detecting changes in the ACC. When the ACC data changes little for a period of time, it can be considered that the activity is small, and the algorithm will determine that you sleep. When the ACC data changes for a period of time, it can be considered that the activity consumes more power, and the algorithm will determine that you wake up. In scenes such as playing with your phone and watching movies, since the changes in ACC in this scene are relatively slight, sleeping will be detected wrongly. If you enable [Advanced monitoring] and [Breathing rate], the data of the PPG sensor will be used, and the algorithm will analyze the sleep state through the ACC and PPG data to obtain the sleep stage results and sleep data.
The reasons for inaccurate data of sleep and wake-ups are listed below:
1. If the band itself does not record sleep or the detection time is less than the actual sleep time, your wrist movements are more during sleep, and the sensor determines that you are not sleeping, resulting in no record or a shorter recorded sleep time;
2. If the band itself records more sleep than the actual sleep time, your wrist movements are less during non-sleep time and you are in a very quiet state (playing with your phone before going to bed or sitting and watching a movie, etc. will be judged as falling asleep), causing the sensor to detect it as a sleeping state;
3. Please check whether you are wearing a double-loop genuine leather black and white strap. When using this strap, it is easy to cause the back shell of the band to not directly contact the skin, which will affect the wearing detection and cause false detection of sleep.
Note:
1. The algorithm continues to optimize possible sleep missed detection and false detection scenarios;
2. For quiet scenes when not sleeping, the detection accuracy will be further improved with the promotion of joint detection of multiple sensors and auxiliary equipment.
7. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support monitoring breathing rate?
A: Support. When you enable [Breathing rate], the band will consume more power. Please follow your requirements to enable or disable.
You can go to the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Sleep] >> the three-dot icon >> [Settings] >> [Breathing rate].
You can also go to [Sleep] on the band >> [Settings] >> [Breathing rate].
8. Q: Why are there no monitoring records or scores after breathing rate is enabled in the Mi Fitness APP?
A: Please confirm whether it is enabled on the APP. You can go to the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Sleep] >> the three-dot icon >> [Settings] >> [Breathing rate].
Here are more details about the issue:
1. If the sleep time is too short, the effective monitoring time will not make the sleep breathing score or monitoring data be displayed (the night sleep time is more than 3 hours);
2. Improper wearing will cause the sleep breathing score to be unable to be monitored. It is recommended not to wear it too loosely, and the band should be one finger away from the wrist bone;
3. If the problem is not caused by the details above, check whether the APP and firmware versions are the latest. It is recommended that you restart the band or unbind the band and try to bind it again.
9. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports blood oxygen monitoring and all-day tracking?
A: Support. After waking up the band, you can manually measure the blood oxygen in the respective APP. The band will show the result after the measurement.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports all-day tracking. After enabling it, when the band detects the inactive status, it will measure the blood oxygen automatically and consume more power.
You can go to the [SpO2] on the band >> [Settings] >> [All-day tracking].
10. Q: How long does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro take to singly measure the blood oxygen?
A: About 15 to 60 seconds. Several factors will influence the measuring time, such as wearing status, skin characteristics and environment. It is recommended that the back of the band fit snugly on the wrist.
11. Q: What changes does the sensor at the bottom of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro have when measuring the blood oxygen?
A: The red light and infrared light will be turned on. If the green light is blinking, the heart rate is being measured.
12. Q: Can the blood oxygen be displayed on the band display of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: Support. Some of the band displays support displaying oxygen blood. You need to manually switch the band displays, however, not all of the band displays can display blood oxygen. You can download the band display in the Mi Fitness APP.
13. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support blood oxygen alert when the data is abnormal?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro supports blood oxygen alerts in the options of 80%, 85%, 90% and Off. The measured values are for reference only and are not intended for medical reference or diagnosis. If you feel any discomfort, please consult a medical institution.
14. Q: Why are the measured values of blood oxygen too low?
A: If the measured values of blood oxygen are too low, please refer to the following details:
1. Inaccurate wearing position: Since there are fewer blood vessels in the wrist, the blood oxygen value is not easy to measure. Please wear the band to a distance of one finger from the wrist bone (ulnar protrusion);
2. The band is worn too loose. please wear the band tighter, with a slight sense of tightness, and the band will not move when shaking the wrist;
3. Stretch your forearm and open your elbow joint to avoid squeezing the blood vessels, which will cause blood to flow poorly and make the measurement value inaccurate;
4. Put your arm on a stable place such as a desktop for measurement, with the band screen facing up, to avoid shaking and unstable signals;
5. It is recommended that you move the band wearing position, ensure that the back of the band fits the wrist and keep it still before measuring again;
6. The latest version has been optimized accordingly, please upgrade to the latest version for further experience.
15. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support reminding to stand up?
A: Support. After [Remind to stand up] is enabled, when the band detects inactivity for 50 minutes in each natural hour, it will vibrate and remind you to stand up at the 50th minute. If standing and walking are detected within 10 minutes after the reminder, you will be reminded of standing finished.
You can go to the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Standing] >> the three-dot icon >> [Settings] >> [Remind to stand up] >> configure the relevant settings.
16. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro remind to stand up in the standing status?
A: The purpose of reminding to stand up is to get you moving. The band needs to detect wrist movement and step count to determine whether the standing activity behavior has been achieved. Therefore, if you have been standing still or moving slightly, you will receive a standing reminder. At the same time, we are also constantly optimizing the standing determination algorithm to gradually improve your experience.
17. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro remind to stand up when the movement just happened?
A: The determination of standing reminder requires certain conditions. If you just start to move and suddenly receive a standing reminder from the band, it is because you are in an active state but have not reached the condition of determining the standing. At this time, you can continue to move and ignore the standing reminder issued by the band. If this phenomenon occurs frequently, you can submit relevant feedback. The algorithm is constantly being improved to improve your experience.
18. Q: How to check the steps, calories, standing times and moving on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: To check the relevant data, please refer to the following details:
1. Check it on the band: You can swipe on the band, tap [Stats] and check the relevant data of [Steps], [Calories], [Moving]/[Standing];
2. Check it on the APP: After the band is connected to the APP and the data synchronization, you can check the relevant data on the [Health] page on the Mi Fitness APP.
Note:
1. The data on the APP comes from both the phone and the band, and the displayed data is integrated. If the number of steps recorded by the phone is more than that of the band in the recent period (about 30 minutes), there will be a difference between the data on both ends. You can try to synchronize again after a while;
2. The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro will sync the data every one hour. The frequency of synchronization between the band and the phone is different, so the data will be different.
19. Q: Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro support connecting to body fat scale?
A: Not support.
20. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro not have heart rate records?
A: If the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro does not have heart rate records, please refer to the following details:
1. First check whether the green light flashes when the back of the band touches the skin. If the green light flashes, it means that the heart rate monitoring function of the band is enabled normally. If there is no green light flashing, please verify whether the heart rate monitoring is enabled;
2. Please wear it accurately. The band can not be worn too loose. Adjust the wearing and then re-enter the page of heart rate function of the band on the APP to check;
3. Excessively dry skin and skin scars will affect heart rate measurement. Low winter temperatures will also affect heart rate measurement;
4. If the problem is not caused by the details above, you can restart the band and change the arm to wear to try again.

Supported workout types include running, walking, cycling, rowing, elliptical and rope jumping. During actual workout, the accuracy and sensitivity of the motion detection function vary from person to person and are related to the posture and proficiency of the workout. Short-term workout or frequent changes in posture will not trigger the automatic detection function. Some life scenarios, such as driving a car, taking a bus, and special activities in life that are similar to workouts, will make the band wrongly detect;
2. If the workout is not detected, the duration of the workout is not sufficient or the workout gesture is not standard.
5. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro wrongly display the information of outdoor cycling?
A: The wrist position in some scenarios, like brushing teeth, pushing a stroller or driving on bumpy roads, is highly similar to cycling. 1. For Android phones: You need to configure the location permission of the Mi Fitness APP as the status of being allowed or allowed when using the APP, and enable the configuration of no limitation in the background in the device page of the APP, otherwise, there will be no movement trajectory and the distance will be inaccurate after the workout ends. If you configure the location permission as allowed when using the APP or the Mi Fitness APP is running in the background, there will be a large error in outdoor workout distance or there will be no trajectory after the workout ends;
2. For iOS phones: You need to configure the location permission of the Mi Fitness APP as being allowed, and refresh the Mi Fitness APP in the settings on your phone before the outdoor workout with the band, otherwise, there will be a large error in outdoor workout distance or there will be no trajectory after the workout ends.

A: If there is no workout data on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro, please refer to the following details:
1. Please make sure that the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro has sufficient power. During exercise, if the band is turned off or restarted, no workout data will be generated;
2. If outdoor workouts are enabled on the Mi Fitness APP, please ensure that the APP runs in the background and remains connected to the band. If the APP is disconnected from the band or the APP is removed from the background, it will cause the band to be forcibly exited and unable to generate motion data;
3. Outdoor workouts need mobile GPS to record trajectories and distance. Therefore, when engaging in outdoor activities, it is necessary to enable GPS and APP location permissions on the phone.
(1). For iOS phones: You need to enable the location permission of the Mi Fitness APP in the privacy settings page on your phone (When the APP location permission is set to while using the APP, there will be situations where the track and location are lost);
(2). For Android phones: You need to enable the location permission of the Mi Fitness APP in the APP settings page on your phone.
12. Q: Why can the record not be checked on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro after the workout initiated on the APP ends?
A: The workout initiated by the Mi Fitness APP will not synchronize the motion report to the band, and the motion record can only be viewed on the band by initiating the motion from the band. So if you need to check your exercise records on the band, please initiate the exercise from the band.
13. Q: Why is the data on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and the Mi Fitness APP different?
A: If the data on the band and the APP is different, please refer to the following details:
1. If the difference is small, it is because the data on the band is synchronized every minute, and the automatic synchronization interval with the phone is 30 minutes. Please manually tap the synchronization icon and check again;

Please refer to the standard wearing posture and try again after wearing it.
17. Q: Why can the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro not configure the responding speed of raising to wake?

The battery level of the band needs to be kept at 20% or above during the upgrade. During the update process, the band needs to remain connected to the phone, try to keep the band close to the phone, and try to keep the Mi Fitness APP running in the foreground. If the APP is running in the background, it can be detected and stopped, causing the update to fail.
22. Q: What to do if the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is upgrading slowly or taking an unusually long time?
A: If the band upgrade is very slow and the band takes a long time to restart even after the APP shows the transfer is complete.
For your reference, please perform the following steps:
1. The time required for the upgrade depends on the version download and the phone model. Android upgrades take about 15 minutes, and iOS upgrades take about 20 minutes. Please wait patiently;
2. Check whether the device has sufficient power. The remaining power will affect the upgrade speed of the band. Please ensure that the power of the device is above 20% during the upgrade. You can connect the band to a power source before upgrading;
3. Check whether the network status is good. The time required for the upgrade is closely related to the network status. Please ensure that the network environment (4G/5G, WLAN) is in good condition;
4. Check the phone system version. Android phones are advised to upgrade the phone system to Android 6.0 or above before trying to upgrade the band;
5. Do not operate the band and APP frequently during the upgrade process. It will cause the system to take longer to complete the upgrade of the band.
23. Q: What to do if the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro shows the information that upgrade failed, reverted to the previous version?
A: 1. During the update process of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro, if a disconnection (Bluetooth connection) occurs, the installation package transmission will fail. In this case, the band will restart and display the information that update failed, reverted to the previous version;
2. If the APP has not performed other operations and is still on the update transmission interface, once the device reconnects and completes synchronization, please move to a location with fewer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices and retry to reduce interference from other signals. If the APP has returned to the main function interface, please move to a location with fewer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices, check the available updates, and initiate the update again;
3. When the update is initiated again, the band will continue to update;

7. Q: Why is the black strap of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro prone to dust?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro will inevitably come into contact with dust while wearing. In fact, whether it is easy to absorb dust has nothing to do with the color, just that the black strap will show dust a little more strongly. Hence, the foreign objects will be more visible on the black strap.
8. Q: Why is it difficult to close the buckles of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: In order to ensure that the strap will not come loose after the buckles are closed, the buckles and holes of the strap are designed for interference fit.
9. Q: Why are the buckles on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro prone to unbuckling?
A: When wearing the band, please be careful not to cut the end of the short strap (buckles end) with hard objects, so as to avoid the buckle coming off due to accidental contact. The strap is designed with a wrist-like curved structure, and the buckle will not come off automatically without external force. If the buckle is loosened by mistake, please fasten the buckles in time. If the corresponding buckle hole is deformed and the buckle is disengaged due to long-term wear, please replace the strap promptly.
10. Q: Why can the Mi Fitness APP in iOS phones not synchronize the data of third-party APPs when using the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro?
A: If the third-party data cannot be synchronized, please refer to the following details:
1. Please go to the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Profile] >> [Third-party data] and select the APP to synchronize the relevant data;
2. Please enable the permission for the Mi Fitness APP in third-party APPs;
3. After the synchronization, the data will be displayed on the APP;
4. If the data can still not be displayed, please submit feedback in the Mi Fitness APP. 11. Q: Why is the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro not receiving messages after pairing with an Android phone?
A: Please check that the Mi Fitness APP has the necessary permissions enabled.
To enable the necessary permissions, please refer to the following methods:
1. During the initial pairing, follow the prompts to allow background permissions;
2. After pairing, you can go to the [Mi Fitness] APP >> [Device] >> enable [Mirror phone notifications] and follow the instructions there to adjust the settings as needed. 12. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro stop displaying weather data after midnight, and can it not store data for the next seven days?
A: When the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is connected to the Mi Fitness APP on your phone, the APP periodically sends the weather data for the next seven days to be stored on the band. Weather information is updated in real-time, as it requires high accuracy. At midnight, cached weather data is cleared to avoid displaying outdated information, and the latest forecast data is reloaded. This ensures that the weather information shown remains accurate, especially when the band is offline. 13. Q: Is the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro’s gray strap resistant to stains, and what are the cleaning methods?
A: The gray strap is made of antibacterial TPU material. Compared to the black strap, the gray strap is more prone to showing everyday dirt and staining agents. During daily use, it’s best to avoid contact with red ink, watercolor pens, and various industrial dyes. If staining occurs, it is recommended to wipe the strap with regular cleaners such as laundry detergent or soap to remove dirt.
Additionally, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro offers 8 other retail strap options, which you can choose from if you’d like to switch to a different color. 14. Q: Should the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro be removed during MRI scans or health checkups?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro should be removed during MRI scans or other health checkups. The band charges using a magnetic attachment, and MRI machines create powerful magnetic fields that can disrupt the magnets on the back of the band. This could potentially alter the magnetic fields inside the band, reversing the polarity, which would prevent the charging cable from attaching properly. It could also damage internal components, leading to screen blackouts and other issues.
Therefore, always remove the band and store it in a safe place as per medical instructions before MRI scans and other checkups. Similarly, remove the band before entering any environment with strong magnetic fields. 15. Q: Why does the data on the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro differ between live tracking and the final summary after finishing swimming?
A: The swimming data combines factors such as stroke count and swim style to assess accuracy in real time. Corrections can be applied upon session completion, which can result in differences between the live and final data. This is an area under ongoing improvement, and updates will be made in future iterations. If discrepancies continue to be significant over multiple swimming sessions, it’s recommended to submit feedback in the Mi Fitness APP for further assistance. 16. Q: Why is the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro not fully charging?
A: Thank you for your support of Xiaomi product. Please check if you are using a power bank to charge the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro. Power banks have a protective mechanism, and if the battery level is low, they can not be able to fully charge the device. For best charging results, it is recommended to use a standard USB charger with an output voltage of 5V and a current of 1A or higher, along with the provided charging cable. 17. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro's weather APP show data expire and without updates?
A: The weather data for the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro updates every 30 minutes. To ensure this, the Mi Fitness APP must remain active in the background on your phone. If the APP is removed from the background, the weather will update once the APP is reopened and the data syncs. 18. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro's touch screen not respond?
A: To resolve this issue, please refer to the following methods:

2. If the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is not paired, leave it stay for 15 minutes. When the band automatically powers off, then use the charger to reactivate the band;

A: Please ensure that the Bluetooth connection between the iPhone and Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is active. If disconnected, try reconnecting. If this fails, select [Forget This Device] on your Bluetooth settings and re-pair through the Mi Fitness APP, allowing all required permissions when prompted.

If the band does not appear connected, try resetting the band to factory settings and re-pair it through the Mi Fitness APP. 26. Q: Why can't the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro’s Bluetooth be found when pairing?
A: The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro’s Bluetooth can have been paired with another device, or the band was previously paired, but the pairing information was not cleared from the phone.
For your reference, you can troubleshoot as follows:
1. Restart the Mi Fitness APP, toggle Bluetooth off and on, then try adding the device again;
2. Please check the APP's region;
3. Check if the band’s Bluetooth information appears in the phone’s Bluetooth list. If so, remove it before rescanning to pair;
4. On the band’s binding page, swipe up to enter the settings page, perform a factory reset, and then scan again to pair from the QR code page;
5. Restart both the band and phone, or try pairing with a different phone;
6. If previously paired with another phone, turn off Bluetooth on that device. 27. Q: Why does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro display “After-sales mode, please contact customer service for repair”?

Additionally, you can reinstall the Mi Fitness APP, reopen it, and allow about a minute to check if previously missing data appears.
