You can access the live monitoring view on the Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080p even without an SD card inserted. You can also enable "Home surveillance" to receive alert notifications and view short alert clips (typically 10 seconds long). However, you will not be able to record footage to an SD card or transfer video to a router's hard drive or NAS storage device.
