When the devices that support Wi-Fi 7 protocol connect to the Xiaomi Router of Wi-Fi 7, the icon of Wi-Fi 7 will be displayed at the status bar.
If the connected devices don’t display the Wi-Fi 7 icon after connecting to the Xiaomi Router of Wi-Fi 7, please refer to the following details:
1. Please confirm whether the connected devices support Wi-Fi 7 protocol;
2. Check whether the system version of the mobile phone and the router is the latest version that supports Wi-Fi 7;
3. Pleas check whether the icon of Wi-Fi display in the router plugin interface of the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP. If the Wi-Fi 7 icon is displayed on the router plugin interface, please check the connected device problem, such as reconnecting the connected device to Wi-Fi, restarting the terminal device, etc. If the Wi-Fi 7 icon is not displayed on the router, please check the router for problems. You can try restarting or resetting the router;
4. If there are other Wi-Fi 7 routers or Wi-Fi 7 terminals in the use environment, you can cross-connect them to rule out whether it is a problem with the router or the connected device (such as a mobile phone);
5. If only some connected devices do not display the Wi-Fi 7 icon, you can try changing the router encryption method to WPA3.
If the above troubleshooting methods cannot solve the problem, please record the model and version of the connected devices, the screenshot of the connected devices showing no Wi-Fi 7 icon, MAC address of the connected devices, and model, version, and SN of the router to submit feedback.
