Does Xiaomi Watch S3 support Bluetooth unlocking of phones?
The watch supports unlocking the phone function, which currently supports Xiaomi phones with system version MIUI 12 and above.
In the Bluetooth connection state between the phone and the watch, the watch unlocking is a one-on-one binding between the watch and the phone. The wristband serves as the identity ID within a safe distance, which can replace entering the unlocking password or pattern. While ensuring security, it greatly improves the convenience of operation.
Setting method:
1. Go to the [Mi Fitness] App >> [Device] >> [Unlock Phone] >> [Set Device Unlock];
2. After setting the lock screen password, confirm unlocking on the watch end to successfully bind it. You can choose the unlocking distance (close, moderate, slightly far).
Unbind:
The Bluetooth device unlocking function needs to be disabled in the phone system settings. Taking Xiaomi phones as an example:
Go to [Settings] >> [Fingerprint, face and password] >> [Bluetooth device unlocking] >> [Lock screen password unlocking] >> [Close].
Note:
Currently, unlocking the phone function requires the use of Xiaomi phones with MIUI 12 and above. Therefore, if the model and system do not match, the App will not display the function entry for unlocking the phone.
