The mobile data is consumed too much on the Redmi Note 9S

If you find that your mobile data is being consumed excessively on your Redmi Note 9S, please refer to the following steps:
1. Ensure that your phone's operating system is up-to-date. Software updates often include bug fixes, security patches, and improvements that can address software-level issues;
2. Check the mobile data usage status by opening the [Security] app >> [Data usage] >> [Data usage stats]. You can real-time monitor the background for software that consumes too much traffic. If there is an app consuming too much mobile data, please tap on the app and turn off [Mobile data];
3. Disable auto-start for apps that are not used often by going to [Settings] >> [Apps] >> [Permissions] >> [Autostart] >> turn off apps;
4. Check the sync settings for apps that automatically download content. If you have enabled [Auto-sync data], please go to [Settings] >> [Accounts & sync] >> turn on [Wi-Fi only];
5. If the problem persists, you can perform a factory reset by navigating to [Settings] >> [About phone] >> [Factory reset]. Please note that this will erase all data on your phone so remember to back up important information before proceeding.
We hope the above information is helpful. If the issue still occurs, we hope you could submit user feedback by going to [Settings] >> [Services & feedback], and wait for the future updates.
Friendly Tip:
You can set up data limit by opening the [Security] app >> [Data usage] >> [Settings] >> [Data plan].
