If there is no sound during music playback when using your Xiaomi Buds 6, please refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
1. Check the Media audio setting on your phone. Enable Media audio in the Bluetooth device details for the Xiaomi Buds 6 to route music playback to the earbuds.
2. Verify the earbud battery level, as low power can cause audio to drop. Place both earbuds into the charging case and ensure they have sufficient charge. If the battery is critically low, charge the earbuds for at least 10 minutes before playing music again.
3. Check the phone's volume settings and mute status. Ensure the phone is not in silent mode and that the media volume is turned up. Some phones may have independent volume controls for media and calls, so adjust the appropriate slider.
4. Move the phone and earbuds closer together and reduce environmental interference. Bluetooth connections can be disrupted by distance exceeding 10 meters, physical obstacles like walls, or strong electromagnetic sources such as microwaves and Wi-Fi routers. Bring the devices within range and away from interference sources.
5. Reset the earbuds to factory settings, as Bluetooth connection anomalies can affect audio routing. Place both earbuds into the charging case with the lid open, press and hold the function button for 10 seconds until the orange indicator flashes continuously, and release the button. After the reset completes, pair the earbuds with your phone again and test the music playback.
6. If the phone is simultaneously connected to two Bluetooth devices, the sound may be routed to the second device while the first remains silent. Disconnect other Bluetooth devices or select the Xiaomi Buds 6 as the active audio output.
7. If the issue persists after performing all the above steps, please contact your local after-sales service center for further inspection.
