What to do if there is no sound when using the Xiaomi Buds 6 for calls?

If there is no sound during calls when using your Xiaomi Buds 6, please refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
1. Check the call audio settings on your phone. When the Xiaomi Buds 6 is connected, ensure that the call audio output is routed to the earbuds rather than the phone speaker. Please enable the [Phone calls] option in the Bluetooth settings.
2. Verify that the earbuds are properly connected and selected as the audio device during the call. During an active call, check the audio output options on your phone's call interface and select the Xiaomi Buds 6 if it is not already chosen. Some phones automatically switch to the built-in speaker during calls if the Bluetooth connection is unstable.
3. Check the earbud battery level, as a low battery can cause call audio to drop or become inaudible. Place both earbuds into the charging case and ensure they have sufficient power before making or receiving calls. If the battery is critically low, charge the earbuds for at least 10 minutes before using them for calls.
4. Ensure the microphone and speaker openings on the earbuds are not blocked by dirt or debris. Dust or earwax can obstruct the audio pathways and reduce call volume or cause complete silence. Gently clean the earbud grilles with a dry soft-bristled brush or cloth to remove any blockages.
5. Reset the earbuds to factory settings, as Bluetooth connection anomalies can affect call audio routing. Place both earbuds into the charging case with the lid open, press and hold the function button for 10 seconds until the orange indicator flashes continuously, and release the button. After the reset completes, pair the earbuds with your phone again and test the call audio.
6. If the issue persists after performing all the above steps, please contact your local after-sales service center for further inspection.
