If the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum makes abnormal noise during operation, please refer to the steps to troubleshoot:
1. Remove the mop pad, brush, brush cover, and side brush from the bottom of the robot vacuum. After removing the bottom accessories, if the noise stops, clean any hair or foreign objects that can be tangled in them, and reinstall each accessory one by one until the noise disappears. Please replace any damaged accessories as soon as possible.
2. When the robot vacuum is working on smooth tile or wooden floors, the scraper can make a slight noise as it rubs against the floor. This is normal.
3. A slight gearing sound will be heard when the side brush and mop pad unfold outwards. This is normal.
4. A slight "clicking" sound can be heard when the main unit passes over uneven seams between tiles and floors.
5. Sudden abnormal noises can be caused by sucking in large foreign objects. Please remove them immediately.
6. In mopping mode (vacuuming and mopping, vacuuming before mopping, mopping), the internal water tank will fill the mop pad with water, and the water pump will make a humming sound. The fan is not working in mopping mode, so the water pump sound will be more noticeable. This is normal.
7. After cleaning, the mop pad head rotates and retracts, which can scratch the washboard and cause occasional, brief, abnormal noises. This is not a product malfunction. We will continue to optimize it.
8. The high-frequency noise generated during mop pad cleaning mainly comes from the gear friction of the double swing arms.
Please try the following methods to resolve this issue:
1. If your device supports the hot water washing function, it is recommended to use the hot water wash function, which should eliminate the problem.
2. It is recommended to replace the washboard.
