What is the virtual walls feature on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro?

You can set up virtual walls in the Xiaomi Home App to prevent the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro from entering areas you don't want it to clean.
To set the virtual walls, please refer to the steps:
  1. Open the Xiaomi Home App.
  2. Tap the three dots icon.
  3. Tap [Restricted area and area editor].
To add the virtual walls, please refer to the steps:
  1. Open the Xiaomi Home App.
  2. Tap the three dots icon.
  3. Tap [Restricted area and area editor].
  4. Select a map.
  5. Select [Virtual wall] or [Restricted zones], drag to the target area, and tap [√] to save.
To delete the virtual walls, please refer to the steps:
  1. Tap[Virtual wall] or [Restricted zones];
  2. Tap [X];
  3. Tap [√] to save.
Example:
Cleaning Restricted Area: Add a cleaning restricted area so the robot vacuum will not enter that area when cleaning.
Mopping Restricted Area: Add a mopping restricted area so the robot vacuum will not enter that area when mopping.
Note:
  1. A saved map is required before using this feature.
  2. Moving the robot vacuum or major changes in home layout can invalidate the existing map and remove no-go zones.
