Why does the main unit of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 shut down automatically?
The main unit of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 shuts down automatically under certain conditions to protect the device and preserve battery life. If it remains in a non-charging or pause state for more than 10 minutes, it enters a dormant state, during which the indicator turns off. Pressing any button on the main unit will wake it up. If the dormant period exceeds 12 hours, the unit will fully shut down.
Automatic shutdown can also occur due to poor charging while docked in the omni station; cleaning the charging poles and black lenses of both the main unit and omni station with a paper towel or cleaning cloth can resolve this.
If a shutdown occurs during a task outside the station, it can be trapped by carpets, cables, or thresholds. Check for obstacles and review any App prompts.
