Display Introduction

Q1: What is the optimal resolution for the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: The optimal resolution is 1920 × 1080. 1920 × 1080 supports up to 200 Hz (HDMI 2.0/DP 1.4).
  1. The higher the resolution, the more pixels the monitor can display, resulting in a finer image and more information that can be displayed within the same screen area.
  2. The higher the refresh rate, the less flickering the image on the screen, the greater its stability, and, in other words, the better the protection for eyesight.

Q2: What is the maximum refresh rate of the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A:
  1. Connecting an HDMI signal cable (HDMI 2.0)
(1). Make sure both the monitor and computer are powered off.
(2). Connect one end of the HDMI signal cable to the computer's HDMI 2.0 port and the other end to the monitor's HDMI port. Note: This product supports a maximum resolution of 1920 × 1080 with a maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz.

Q4: What is the contrast ratio of the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i (2026)? What is static contrast?

A: The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 has a static contrast ratio of 1000:1 (typical value) and a dynamic contrast ratio of one million.
  1. Static contrast ratio: This is the brightness of a white screen (at its brightest) divided by the brightness of a black screen (at its darkest). The higher the screen contrast, the better the display quality (color and depth), as shown in the following figure:
  1. Dynamic contrast ratio: This refers to the ratio of the brightness of the brightest and darkest areas of the screen at a specific moment in time under certain conditions.

Q5: What is Black Level?

A: BlackLevel can improve the blur caused by insufficient image contrast in black scenes, making the picture in black scenes very clear. If there is too much black in the image, details will be lost. Lack of black will result in a dull appearance.

Q6: How do I adjust the color temperature on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: You can adjust the color temperature by opening the settings menu using the five-way button on the monitor.

Q7: What is chroma/hue?

A: Saturation represents the purity of color. The higher the purity, the brighter the color. The lower the purity, the duller the color.

Q9: What is the function of the gamma adjustment on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: Gamma value is a curve optimization adjustment and an auxiliary function of brightness and contrast. It can make subtle adjustments to the light and dark levels of the picture, control the contrast performance of the entire picture, and make the picture more three-dimensional and vivid.

Q10: How to adjust the screen ratio on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 allows you to adjust the image aspect ratio in the monitor menu.
  1. Regardless of the output resolution, the image will be stretched to a full 16:9 display.
  2. The image will automatically be stretched horizontally or vertically to fit the screen size based on the output resolution. Non-16:9 resolutions will not be distorted.
Note:
The output resolution must be adjusted in the graphics card settings.

Q11: How to adjust the quality of the picture on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: Due to individual differences, you can adjust the contrast, brightness, hue, and saturation yourself. You can also choose your own preferences in the color space in the monitor image mode.

Q12: What is Gray-to-Gray (GTG) Time?

A: It takes time for each point on the screen to transition from one color to the next. This is what we usually call response time. The image on the screen is the result of grayscale changes, so the response time we are talking about now refers to the grayscale response time.

Q13: What is Adaptive Sync?

A: Adaptive Sync, or adaptive vertical synchronization technology, is the first open standard developed by VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) for variable refresh rate monitors.
Its primary function is to synchronize the graphics card's output image signal with the monitor's refresh rate, thereby avoiding screen tearing that occurs when the two are out of sync. Simply put, Adaptive Sync adjusts the monitor's refresh rate in real-time to synchronize it with the graphics card's output frame rate, eliminating tearing and lag while improving the smoothness and stability of games and videos.
Adaptive Sync technology can be implemented in various ways, including AMD's FreeSync and Nvidia's G-Sync. It requires support from both the monitor and graphics card and requires appropriate configuration.

Q14: Does turning Adaptive Sync on or off have any impact on the performance and lifespan of the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: Enabling or disabling Adaptive Sync has a minimal impact on monitor performance.
Enabling Adaptive Sync primarily improves visual quality and reduces issues like screen tearing.
As for the impact on monitor lifespan, this is generally negligible, as it doesn't directly damage the monitor hardware.

Q15: How to use the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 after connecting headphones?

A: The output device transmits audio to the monitor via DP or HDMI cables. After the monitor is connected to the audio, you only need to select the corresponding input source in the settings. If there is no sound, you need to switch to the playback device on the output source device.
Note:
A device can only output one audio at a time. For example, if you use an external headset on your monitor, your PC will not be able to use the external speaker or PC headphone jack. You can switch between them if needed.

Q16: How to adjust the volume of Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 after connecting it to an audio output device?

A: You can adjust it in the computer sound. If the volume is still too loud or too low, you can adjust it in the monitor menu volume setting. The computer volume and monitor volume are adjusted asynchronously.

Q3: How to deal with blurry screenshots on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: If you're experiencing blurry screenshots on your monitor, the recommended 150% scaling and layout setting on your computer resulted in blurry screenshots, but changing it to 100% cleared them.
This is because the screenshot tool requires a 100% setting. Because Windows increases the scaling factor, the screenshot tool uses the 100% setting when taking a screenshot, but the system isn't set to 100% scaling, resulting in blurry screenshots.

Q4: Why can’t the volume be adjusted through macOS when the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 is connected to a MacBook?

A: To clean your monitor, follow these steps:
  1. Ensure the LCD monitor is turned off;
  2. Spray evenly with a dedicated screen cleaning solution;
  3. Use a screen cleaning cloth with good water and dust absorption properties and gently wipe the screen. This will help dust absorb easily and prevent it from re-adhering to the screen with repeated wiping, nor will dust particles scratch the LCD screen.
Note:
Using water is not recommended. Alkaline or chemical solutions are strictly prohibited for cleaning the screen, as this can cause short circuits or corrosion.

Q12: Are warm or cool monitor colors better on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: If the indoor light is strong, it is recommended to use cool colors, which can make the colors clearer and brighter; if the indoor light is weak, you can use warm colors, which will be softer.

Q13: What manufacturer/material does the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 use for its display?

A: The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 features an IPS panel. The panels are sourced from CSOT and HKC, with the respective model numbers CSOT SG2701B08-4_VH.1 and HKC SN270CS07-1.

Q16: Why are there color stripes when taking photos with the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 using a mobile phone/camera?

A: This is a normal physical phenomenon (called moiré). Almost all devices will produce moiré when recording computer screens. This is caused by different refresh rates. A video is composed of countless photos arranged in sequence and at specific times. When recording, photos are actually taken continuously, meaning the shutter has a fixed frequency. A typical video is about 30 frames per second. The product also has a refresh rate, around 60 Hz to 200 Hz. The difference between these two frequencies can cause the screen to refresh intermittently when recording video. You can adjust the refresh rate of your camera to match that of the monitor.

Q17: What to do if the screen freezes and stutters on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: If you experience noticeable lag or sluggishness, it's mainly because the graphics card driver is not installed, and the adapter cable material is causing this. You need to check the graphics card driver in the PC Device Manager. If you use an adapter cable, test it without it or replace it.

Q18: Why does the brightness of the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 change automatically from bright to dim?

A: If the display screen is sometimes bright and sometimes dark, please check whether the video signal cable is properly plugged in.

Q19: What to do if there is no sound when plugging in headphones to the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: If your Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 has no sound when connected to headphones, you can try the following solutions:
  1. Check if the output volume is low and adjust it appropriately;
  2. Check the monitor's volume settings;
  3. If the monitor's audio is not recognized, try restarting the output device or updating the driver and checking again.

Q20: Why feel dizzy after using the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 for a long time?

A: The inconsistency between what the eyes see and what the body experiences in reality, and the discrepancy between the information sent from the inner ear's balance organs to the brain and vision, can cause dizziness. The degree of dizziness is also affected by the monitor's performance. The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 offers high-resolution, high-quality performance. If dizziness occurs, rest and wait until the symptoms subside before using the monitor again.

Q21: What to do if the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 has a display distortion problem?

Q22: What to do if the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026 has a black screen?

A: If a black screen appears during use, check the monitor indicator. A flashing indicator means no output signal is being received. Check the output device connection for proper function. Reset the power cord and video cable to ensure a stable connection. If the monitor indicator remains on, check the graphics card or output device for a problem. Try replacing the video output device. If using an adapter, remove or replace it.

Q23: Why does the screen brightness decrease after setting the dynamic contrast on the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i 2026?

A: The dynamic contrast function controls the screen brightness by the light-dark ratio of the input signal. The larger the screen light ratio is, the brighter the screen is; the larger the screen dark ratio is, the darker the screen is.
