Since the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Ceramic Edition does not have a built-in GPS module, all positioning and track data rely on the connected smartphone. Therefore, outdoor workouts require the phone’s location services to be enabled and the band to remain connected to the phone throughout the activity.
If there is a large deviation of outdoor workout distance on the band, please refer to the following methods for troubleshooting:
For Android phones, before starting an outdoor workout on the band, please set the location permission for the Mi Fitness APP as [Allow all the time] or [Allow only while using the app] and enable [Background permission] in the Mi Fitness APP. If location permission is set as [Allow only while using the app] and the Mi Fitness APP runs in the background, the GPS track can be lost and the recorded distance can be inaccurate;
For iPhone, before starting an outdoor workout, set the location permission for the Mi Fitness APP to [Always] via [Settings] >> [Mi Fitness] >> [Location], and enable [Background App Refresh] for the APP. Otherwise, the GPS track can be missing and distance data can be inaccurate after the workout;
If the phone’s location services are properly enabled and the workout track is displayed in the Mi Fitness APP, but the recorded distance is still inaccurate, try zooming in on the track. If long straight lines are observed, it can indicate signal obstruction (such as buildings or trees), which can lead to GPS deviation and affect distance accuracy.
